"Elf, the Musical" comes to State Theatre New Jersey

(MADISON, NJ) -- The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) presents It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, running December 3-28, 2025 at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre on the campus of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. This brings the beloved holiday classic to life in the format of a 1940s radio broadcast — complete with microphones, sound effects, and a talented ensemble of actors.

Okieriete Onaodowan – also known as Oak to friends and fans – originated the roles of Hercules Mulligan and James Madison in the mega-hit musical. He also played Dean Miller on the TV show Station 19 and leads the new series Demascus–now streaming on Tubi–which the LA Times called a "must-watch".

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- George Street Playhouse presents Ebenezer Scrooge's Big Jersey Christmas Show from December 2-21, 2025. Written by Gordon Greenberg (Holiday Inn, Dracula!) and Steve Rosen (The Other Josh Cohen) and directed by Greenberg, it is based on A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens and gives the holiday classic a Jersey twist.

Fiona's Café is a Pop-Up show that will happen at Serra Doce Coffee Shop in Summit for one night only. This unscripted story will be improvised by the Vivid company of actors while patrons are treated to sandwiches, desserts and beverages from Serra Doce.

Now running at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) is a stunning production of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. The play comes from author Mary Shelley's original 1818 book of Frankenstein. This version of the play is written by David Catlin. It plays now through November 16th at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre on the campus of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.
