Mosaic Dance Theater Company presents "Through Her Eyes: Women of the Near East Through the Ages"

(WAYNE, NJ) -- The award-winning Mosaic Dance Theater Company (MDTC), based in Glen Ridge, NJ, in a co-production with WP Presents! of the Shea Center for Performing Arts at William Paterson University, celebrates Women’s History Month and women's contributions to world culture by taking you on a journey from ancient to modern times, in Through Her Eyes: Women of the Near East Through the Ages, a joyous multimedia dance experience. The performance is scheduled for Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 7:00pm.

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- PEAK Performances at Montclair State University presents the U.S. premiere of Ombres Portées from Cie L’Oublié(e) March 23-26, 2023. This performance is directed and choreographed by Raphaëlle Boitel with collaboration from light designer Tristan Baudoin and original music by Arthur Bison.

(FRENCHTOWN, NJ) -- Roxey Ballet's Healing Arts Initiative presents an exploration of the journeys of women who were diagnosed, treated, and survived various stages of breast cancer in its production of The C Word: Personal Stories of Triumph Over Breast Cancer on Saturday, April 1st at 7:00pm.

Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater presents the world-premiere of five dances in April 2023

(DEAL, NJ) -- Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater (AXCBT) presents five world premieres with two diverse and dynamic programs, Wanna Dance With Somebody? and Architects of Dance on April 1-2, at Axelrod Performing Arts Center. Ticket prices are $36 for adults and $25 for students or $60 for adults, and $40 for students with the purchase of both programs.

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Jersey City Theater Center presents Skin Hunger, dance theatre experience The interactions are full of mystery. The roles of the performers change with the songs and the audience follows them. Beautiful duets, dynamic group scenes, intimate interactions and energetic contacts. Everything is there and invites the audience to the sensual world. Touch makes more sense if it connects. Skin Hunger is an international collaboration between renowned choreographer Joe Alter and Polish artists - a collective formed for the purpose of the performance. This event is co-presented by Jersey City Theater Center in partnership with the Polish Cultural Institute NY.

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Carolyn Dorfman Dance will celebrate 40 years as a force in the modern dance world with “Dance on Exhibit,” an evening of dance on display in the Morris Museum followed by performances of some of her most iconic works on Thursday, April 13, and Saturday, April 15, at the Morris Museum in Morristown.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater comes to NJPAC for Mother's Day Weekend

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, America's beloved cultural ambassador to the world, completes its 22-city coast-to-coast North American tour at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) for performances Friday through Sunday, May 12-14, 2023. Led by Artistic Director Robert Battle, Ailey returns to the NJPAC stage for the 24th time with exciting premieres, a powerful new production, and repertory favorites including Alvin Ailey's must-see American masterpiece Revelations. ​​​​​​​Other NJPAC activities include Ailey Day April 29 (a free community day of dance classes), a Schooltime Performance May 12 for young students, and its annual summer AileyCamp June 26-August 4.

Dance On The Lawn Returns for 10th and Final Year in September

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Dance on the Lawn, Montclair, NJ’s outdoor dance festival, will return for its tenth and final year, Celebrating New Jersey. The Festival returns to its original location, the front lawn of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church 73 S Fullerton Ave, Montclair, NJ, on Saturday, September 19 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. The Dance on the Lawn Festival is free.
