Lantern Theater Company presents "Blues For An Alabama Sky"

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Lantern Theater Company continues its 2025-26 season with the Philadelphia premiere of Blues for an Alabama Sky by Pearl Cleage. Guest director Brett Ashley Robinson leads an ensemble cast including Kash Goins, Taylor Mitchell, and Ebony Pullum, as well as Lantern newcomers Tariq Kanu and Cookie Diorio. Blues for an Alabama Sky runs Thursday, February 12 through Sunday, March 15, 2026, at St. Stephen's Theater in Center City Philadelphia.

Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey appoints Anisa Mehdi as President of the Board of Trustees

(MADISON, NJ) -- The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) has announced the election of Emmy Award–winning arts journalist Anisa Mehdi as President of the Board of Trustees, effective December 2025. A respected journalist, documentary filmmaker, and arts advocate, Mehdi brings decades of experience in storytelling, public media, and cultural leadership to her new role.




"'Til Death Do Us Part: Late Nite Catechism 3" comes to Grunin Center

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Entertainment Events presents 'Til Death Do Us Part: Late Nite Catechism 3 on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Grunin Center for the Arts. This is the latest class to be unveiled in this sinfully funny series. Showtime is 3:00pm.




Premiere Stages at Kean University Announces 2026 Bauer Boucher Playwriting Award Winners

(UNION, NJ) -- Premiere Stages, the professional theatre company in residence at Kean University, has named the Kean University students and alum who have won the 2026 Bauer Boucher Playwriting Awards. This year Premiere Stages recognizes the work of four student playwrights, Goodness Kehinde (Class of '26), Samantha Pugliese (Class of '26), Layla Welsh (Class of '28) and Alexandra Wuethrich (Class of '26). Alumnus Sahirah Z. Johnson (Class of '17) is the winner of the Alumni Playwriting Award.

Algonquin Arts Theatre presents "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"

Kean Stage to Host Internationally Celebrated Dedication with Roger Peltzman in recognition of Holocaust Remembrance Day

The Growing Stage presents a modern take on a classic story with "Cinderella: A Salsa Fairy Tale"

(NETCONG, NJ) -- The Growing Stage: The Children's Theatre of New Jersey presents Cinderella: A Salsa Fairy Tale. With a book and lyrics by Karen Zacarías (Ella Enchanted) and music by Deborah Wicks La Puma (Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus), this vibrant production runs weekends from February 6–15, 2026. The play poses the question: What will happen to Cinderella at the ball... game?

The production begins performances on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). Opening night is Thursday, January 8, 2026.

    (HILLSBOROUGH, NJ) -- Somerset Valley Players presents Drinking Habits by Tom Smith weekends from January 16 through February 1, 2026. Accusations, mistaken identities, and romances run wild in this traditional, laugh-out-loud farce.
