Roxey Ballet Participates in Rutgers Autism Study

(FRENCHTOWN, NJ) -- Roxey Ballet is honored to be participating in an Autism research study with Rutgers University and the NJ Autism Center of Excellence, contributing data via movement and motion for their upcoming international conference, "Rethinking Autism for the 21st Century". The study is being led by Professor Elizabeth B. Torres, PhD, Director of the Sensory Motor Integration Lab at Rutgers and features a creative partnership with Mark Roxey, Artistic Director of Roxey Ballet, and his artists, with the purpose of learning more about the Autism spectrum from a multidisciplinary perspective, through the fields Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

RVCC Dance Professor Recognized with Artist Fellowship

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Loretta Di Bianca Fois, Raritan Valley Community College Professor of Dance, is among 96 artists selected for a 2023 Individual Artist Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Professor Fois was chosen from 635 eligible applicants in seven artistic disciplines.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater comes to NJPAC for Mother's Day Weekend

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, America's beloved cultural ambassador to the world, completes its 22-city coast-to-coast North American tour at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) for performances Friday through Sunday, May 12-14, 2023. Led by Artistic Director Robert Battle, Ailey returns to the NJPAC stage for the 24th time with exciting premieres, a powerful new production, and repertory favorites including Alvin Ailey's must-see American masterpiece Revelations. Other NJPAC activities include Ailey Day April 29 (a free community day of dance classes), a Schooltime Performance May 12 for young students, and its annual summer AileyCamp June 26-August 4.
