On a rainy Monday night, in response to a spontaneous challenge to recognize the Rock & Roll Poet Laureate’s birthday, Pat Guadagno sang ‘every Bob Dylan song I knew’. From those humble beginnings at a local Downtown Café, 25 years ago, BobFest, the musical celebration of Bob Dylan’s Birthday, has grown to become Red Bank’s Hippest Musical Event, dubbed so, by the late rock journalist Uncle Mike.
With Blues Brother Rob Paparozzi and Tired Horses, ‘A curious congregation of extremely talented musicians, who each bring their individual brand of magic to the stage’ Pat Guadagno will ‘Soon shake the Windows and rattle the Walls’ of the Count Basie Center, celebrating 25 years of delivering the music of Bob Dylan as only he can.
The Memorial Day Weekend Kickoff concert will look back on highlights of 25 years of BobFest , welcoming Special Guests who have made appearances and along the way and include a Pre-Show Cocktail Party on the terrace of the New Count Basie Center for the Arts.
