George Street Playhouse presents "Ebenezer Scrooge’s Big Jersey Christmas Show". (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- George Street Playhouse presents Ebenezer Scrooge's Big Jersey Christmas Show from December 2-21, 2025. Written by Gordon Greenberg (Holiday Inn, Dracula!) and Steve Rosen (The Other Josh Cohen) and directed by Greenberg, it is based on A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens and gives the holiday classic a Jersey twist.

Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey presents "It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play". (MADISON, NJ) -- The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) presents It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, running December 3-28, 2025 at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre on the campus of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. This brings the beloved holiday classic to life in the format of a 1940s radio broadcast — complete with microphones, sound effects, and a talented ensemble of actors.

Thursday, December 4 - MPAC presents LeAnn Rimes: Greatest Hits Christmas Tour. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) presents LeAnn Rimes: Greatest Hits Christmas Tour on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 7:30pm. The international multi-platinum selling superstar has won two Grammy® Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, two World Music Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards, two Country Music Association Awards and one Dove Award.

CDC Theatre presents "FROSTED" - A Frozen Fairytale Parody. (CRANFORD, NJ) -- CDC Theatre presents FROSTED - A Frozen Fairytale Parody across two weekends from December 5-14, 2025. FROSTED is an energetic, interactive parody musical for the whole family.

American Theater Group presents "It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play". (BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- American Theater Group (ATG) presents Joe Landry's It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play running December 5-7, 2025 at the Sieminski Theater in Basking Ridge and December 12-21, 2025 at the DMK Black Box Theater in Union.

Friday, December 5 - Lizzie Rose Music Room presents David Jacobs-Strain and Bob Beach. (TUCKERTON, NJ) -- The Lizzie Rose Music Room presents David Jacobs-Strain and Bob Beach on Friday, December 5, 2025. They are a multigenerational, bicoastal duo who have been performing together since 2010. Doors are at 7:00pm, showtime is 7:30pm.

Roxey Ballet's 30th Anniversary Production of "The Nutcracker" Enters Final Week of Performances. Friday, December 5 - The Growing Stage presents "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer". (NETCONG, NJ) -- The Growing Stage presents Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer weekends from December 5-21, 2025 at the Historic Palace Theatre. The holiday classic soars off the screen in this musical adaptation of the beloved television special.

Saturday, December 6 - Remembering Frank Sinatra: A Swellegant Celebration to Take Place in Avon. (AVON-BY-THE-SEA, NJ) -- Remembering Frank Sinatra: A Swellegant Celebration, presented by Karen Morris and The Rat Pack Music Alliance, will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from Noon to 1:45pm, indoors, at the Avon Municipal Building (2 Main Street) in Avon-by-the-Sea. The swingin' program will honor Frank Sinatra's 110th heavenly birthday, with a bit of holiday spirit added. Guest speakers, live music, and surprise giveaways will round out the afternoon festivities.

Saturday, December 6 - Friends of Symphony Hall presents "An Evening of Smooth Jazz" with Gerald Albright. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Friends of Symphony Hall along with Smooth Jazz New Jersey team up to bring adult contemporary music to the newly renovated Terrace Ballroom housed in Newark Symphony Hall. People Helping People presents 2025 Festival of Short Plays & Visual Arts. Saturday, December 6 - Split Level Concerts presents Tim Easton and Quincy Mumford at Jersey Shore Arts Center. Saturday, December 6 - Nimbus Dance brings "Jersey Nutcracker" to Kean University. (UNION, NJ) -- Kean Stage will present Nimbus Dance's Jersey Nutcracker for two performances on Saturday, December 6, 2025 in the Wilkins Theatre. Kean University is the first stop on Nimbus' first-ever New Jersey tour. Performances take place at 1:00pm & 6:00pm.

Saturday, December 6 - New Jersey Ballet presents "The Nutcracker" at bergenPAC. (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- New Jersey Ballet brings The Nutcracker to Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) for four performances from December 6-7, 2025.  The company's beloved annual tradition enchants youngsters and grown-ups alike with splendid dancing, eye-popping special effects and a touch of holiday magic, set to Tchaikovsky's iconic score.

Saturday, December 6 - Holiday Shows Light Up The Grunin Center This Month. (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Celebrate the sounds of the season! Monday, December 8 - American Theater Group and UCPAC's Play Reading Series present "The Unwitting Magician". (RAHWAY, NJ) -- American Theater Group (ATG) in partnership with the Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC), will present a special work in development -- The Unwitting Magician -- by Jeremy Dobrish as part of its free Play Reading Series on Monday, December 8, 2025 at UCPAC's Hamilton Stage in Rahway. Monday, December 8 - Monmouth University's Center for the Arts presents Exhibition on Screen - Rembrandt. (WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- Monmouth University's Center for the Arts presents Exhibition on Screen - Rembrandt on Monday, December 8, 2025 in the Pollak Theatre. Thursday, December 4 - Princeton Symphony Orchestra presents Holiday Brass Chamber Concert at Trinity. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) presents members of the orchestra in a special Holiday Brass concert, the second installment of its Chamber Series at Trinity, on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 7:00pm. The performance includes traditional holiday selections arranged for brass quintet with popular tunes by Albert Hague, Vince Guaraldi, Sammy Kahn, Johnny Marks, and Leroy Anderson.

Thursday, December 4 - Clements Place Jazz presents the Pete Rodríguez Latin Jazz Sextet on December 4th. Saturday, December 6 - Welcome the Holidays with Song: Enjoy Musical Magic with New Jersey's finest choruses. NJFO's festive holiday celebration features award-winning tenors, special guests, and seasonal favorites in a symphonic spectacular that brings the magic of the season to life.

Sunday, December 7 - Community Chorale Brings Together Kean Students, Alumni and Local Residents. When Director of Choral and Vocal Activities Rachel Carlson began her journey at Kean University four years ago, she envisioned creating stronger connections between the University and the surrounding community. That vision came to life in Spring 2022 with the launch of the Kean Community Chorale, an ensemble that unites students, alumni, faculty, staff and local residents in a shared celebration of music.

Sunday, December 7 - UCPAC presents Cherish the Ladies Celtic Christmas Concert on December 7th. Sunday, December 7 - The Future of Jazz Orchestra presents Home for the Holidays at Bell Theater. (HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Kick off the holiday season with Home for the Holidays featuring the Future of Jazz Orchestra, presented in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center, at Bell Theater at Bell Works on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 3:00pm. Under the musical direction of Joe Block, you can expect to hear refreshing takes of your favorite holiday tunes.

Sunday, December 7 - Guitarists Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo Bring Their 'Joyful Jamming' to Madison. In the 1970s and '80s, the New Jersey Jazz Society held summer festivals at Waterloo Village in Stanhope, NJ, sometimes as part of a New Jersey arm of the Newport Jazz Festival in New York. Guitarist Frank Vignola remembers playing there 40 years ago, as a 19-year-old, with such guitar giants as Bucky Pizzarelli and Tal Farlow. "There were also other legends," he recalled, "like (pianist) Jay McShann and (bassist) Milt Hinton. So, I sort of got my start with the New Jersey Jazz Society."

Arden Theatre Company presents "The Mountaintop" by Katori Hall. (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Arden Theatre Company presents The Mountaintop, written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Katori Hall, and directed by Barrymore Award-winning director Brett Ashley Robinson. Running October 30 through December 14, 2025 on the Arcadia Stage, the 90-minute reimagining of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s final night, invites audiences into a deeply intimate and human portrait of one of the most iconic leaders of the 20th century.

Quintessence Theatre presents "The Pirates of Penzance". (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Quintessence Theatre continues its 16th season with The Pirates of Penzance, the beloved comic opera by W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan, from November 19, 2025 to January 4, 2026. Directed by Quintessence Artistic Director Alex Burns, the resplendent and hilarious story follows a band of pirates who go to battle with the British bobbies over the hearts of a bevy of beautiful Cornish maidens, with only a Major- General and Queen Victoria to stand in their way.

Cape May Stage presents the World Premiere of "Let's Catch Santa". (CAPE MAY, NJ) -- Cape May Stage presents the World Premiere of Let's Catch Santa from November 19 through December 28, 2025. This is a new holiday play by Dan McCormick that combines magic, humor, hope and the Christmas spirit. The production is directed by Roy Steinberg.

SoHo Playhouse presents the U.S. premiere of "What If They Ate The Baby?". (NEW YORK, NY) -- SoHo Playhouse presents the U.S. premiere of What If They Ate The Baby?, written, directed and performed by the playhouse's artists in residence, Xhloe Rice and Natasha Roland, running Off-Broadway November 19 - December 22, 2025 for 25 performances in a limited 5-week engagement.

The Road Company presents "A Christmas Carol: The Musical". (WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ) -- The Road Company presents A Christmas Carol: The Musical weekends from November 20 through December 6, 2025. The classic tale by Charles Dickens comes alive with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and book by Lynn Ahrens and Mike Ockrent.

Paper Mill Playhouse presents Disney's "Frozen". (MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse presents Disney's Frozen from November 26 through Sunday, January 11, 2026. This musical transforms the magic of the beloved animated film to the stage in an enchanting adventure. When sisters Elsa and Anna are torn apart by a mysterious secret power, they each set out on their own journey of courage, self-acceptance, and discovery of love in all its forms.

Music Mountain Theatre presents "A Christmas Carol". (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre presents A Christmas Carol weekends from November 28 through December 14, 2025. This is a spectacular musical adaptation of Dickens' most well-known story.

Arden Children's Theatre presents "A Wrinkle In Time". (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- This winter, Arden Children's Theatre invites families to journey across time and space with an exciting adaptation of Madeline L'Engle's beloved book, A Wrinkle in Time. Adapted by John Glore, winner of the Newbery Medal, A Wrinkle in Time has inspired generations of readers, and even a major motion picture, since its publication. Now, the Arden brings this timeless classic to its stage for the first time. The production runs from December 3 through January 25, 2026.

Cirque du Soleil presents "'Twas the Night Before..." at The Theater at MSG. (NEW YORK, NY) -- Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment) announced that, due to overwhelming success, the celebrated holiday theatrical 'Twas the Night Before... by Cirque du Soleil is returning to The Theater at Madison Square Garden for a limited engagement this holiday season from December 4-28, 2025.

Vanguard Theater Company presents "Into The Woods". (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Vanguard Theater Company presents Into The Woods from December 4-21, 2025. James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece... and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.

New Jersey Repertory Company presents "Just Another Day" by Dan Lauria. (LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company presents Just Another Day by Dan Lauria from December 4-20, 2025. Eric Krebs directs Dan Lauria and Patty McCormack in a different kind of love story.

Villagers Theatre's Minature Musical Makers presents "The Wizard of Oz". (SOMERSET, NJ) -- Villagers Theatre's Minature Musical Makers presents The Wizard of Oz with four performances from December 4-6, 2025. The musical follows Dorothy Gale's journey from Kansas to the Land of Oz after a tornado whisks her away with her dog Toto.

HACPAC presents "The Christmas Caper". (HACKENSACK, NJ) -- The Christmas Caper returns to the Hackensack Performing Arts Center with performances weekends from December 5-13, 2025. This is a magical show that has become an annual tradition in Hackensack, delighting audiences with its enchanting performances and heartwarming storytelling.

Gateway Playhouse presents "Scrooge, The Musical". (SOMERS POINT, NJ) -- Gateway Playhouse will ring in the holiday season with two weekends of the Christmas classic Scrooge the Musical, from December 5-14, 2025. Based on Charles Dickens' beloved A Christmas Carol, this musical brings the timeless holiday tale to life with warmth, humor and unforgettable music by Leslie Bricusse.

Ritz Theatre Company presents "Goldilocks & The House of Ginger". (HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Ritz Theatre Company presents Goldilocks & The House of Ginger weekends from December 5-21, 2025. From the zany minds of Bruce Curless and Brian Bacon comes another Christmas Musical Pantomime that is sure to have you laughing in the aisles!

Masquerade Theatre presents "Little Women". (RIVERSIDE, NJ) -- Masquerade Theatre presents Little Women weekends from December 5-20, 2025. Based on Louisa May Alcott's American classic, this Civil War story of love and family stands the test of time. Little Women features a Book by Allan Knee; Music by Jason Howland; and Lyrics by Mindi Dickstein.

Haddonfield Plays and Players presents "Fiddler on the Roof". (HADDONFIELD, NJ) -- Haddonfield Plays and Players presents Fiddler on the Roof weekends from December 5-20, 2025. The award-winning tale of Tevye the Dairyman and his family’s struggles in a changing Russia is a true musical theatre tradition.

interACT Theatre Productions presents The Naughty or Nice Cabaret - A Winter Cabaret Fundraiser. (MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- interACT Theatre Productions presents interACT Sings: The Naughty or Nice Cabaret - A Winter Cabaret Fundraiser on December 5-6, 2025 at The Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts. Kick Off the Holidays at the Kelsey Theatre with "Twas the Night Before Christmas". (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- Santa will be arriving a little early this year when the holiday classic "Twas the Night Before Christmas" comes to life on the stage of Mercer County Community College's (MCCC) Kelsey Theatre from December 5-7, 2025.

Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater & Music Theater presents "When Pages Breathe: American Black/Out". (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts' Program in Theater and Music Theater at Princeton University presents When Pages Breathe: American Black/Out, a lecture-performance that presents scenes and monologues ranging from the rich historical lineage of Black American theater to a live resistance-driven narrative lecture on culture and power. Performances take place December 5-6, 2025.

Jackson Arts Ministry Presents Anastasia, The Broadway Musical, and Frozen Jr.. (ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players (BCP) continues its 93rd season with a special holiday run of SPIN: The Rumpelstiltskin Musical, returning to the Little Firehouse Theatre nearly four decades after its original BCP production in 1986. With music by Neil Fishman, and book and lyrics by Harvey Edelman, the holiday family show runs December 6-21, 2025 and is directed by Bunny Mateosian.

Moorestown Theater Company presents "Annie, Jr.". Nimbus Launches Major Statewide Expansion of "Jersey Nutcracker". (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- This December, Nimbus Dance's Jersey Nutcracker embarks on its first-ever New Jersey tour, bringing its beloved, distinctly local twist on Tchaikovsky's classic ballet to audiences in Jersey City, Newark, and Elizabeth.
