Saturday, March 2 - BlowUpRadio.com to Host Third Annual Transplants Benefit in March. For the third straight year New Jersey-based internet radio station BlowUpRadio.com will will broadcast Giving a Second Chance: Benefit for National Foundation for Transplants. The benefit will air on March 2nd & 3rd, with musicians performing live on its station, raising funds for those in need of financial assistance upon facing a life-changing organ or tissue transplant.

Tuesday, March 5 - Count Basie Center for the Arts presents Peter Frampton. (RED BANK, NJ) -- Count Basie Center for the Arts presents Peter Frampton on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 7:30pm. The Grammy-winning artist is one of the most celebrated guitarists in rock history.

Tuesday, March 5 - The Lizzie Rose Music Room presents Mike Zito. (TUCKERTON, NJ) -- Gulf Coast Records multi-Blues Music Award-winner Mike Zito is set to release his new album, Life Is Hard, on February 23, with a tour to follow in March. The Life is Hard tour stops in Tuckerton, where the Mike Zito Band will be playing at Lizzie Rose Music Room on Tuesday, March 5 (with Regina Bonelli) and Wednesday, March 6 (with Bees Deluxe). Both shows begin at 7:30pm.



Tuesday, February 27 - Black Box Studios and Liberty Arts Theatre presents The Singer-Songwriter Showcase Vol. 1. (TEANECK, NJ) -- Black Box Studios and Liberty Arts Theatre presents the full line-up for The Singer-Songwriter Showcase Vol. 1, a new recurring event featuring area bands and artists which will premiere on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Debonair Music Hall. The night will feature performances by Rene Avila, Esti Mellul, The String Thirys and Leroy Klavis. Doors open at 7:00; showtime is 7:30pm.

Wednesday, February 28 - JAZZ HOUSE KiDS announce Sting and Christian McBride to Perform at the RALPH PUCCI 8th Annual Jazz Set Benefit. (NEW YORK, NY) -- JAZZ HOUSE KiDS announced world-renowned singer-songwriter, musician, actor, activist and 17-time GRAMMY-winner Sting as the special guest for the RALPH PUCCI 8th Annual Jazz Set, The Lowdown: Conversations with Christian® on February 28, 2024. Sting will perform alongside eight-time GRAMMY-winning virtuosic bassist and JAZZ HOUSE Artistic Director Christian McBride. The two will deliver a once-in-a-lifetime evening, performing together, trading stories, and celebrating Sting's illustrious career.

Friday, March 1 - SOPAC presents An Evening with Joan Osborne. (SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) presents An Evening with Joan Osborne on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 8:00pm. Since she broke on to the scene more than 25 years ago with her multi-platinum album Relish (1995) and its touchstone mega-smash hit "One of Us," the seven-time Grammy nominee has never played it safe. Osborne has followed her restless musical heart, exploring a diverse range of genres including Pop Rock, Soul, R&B, Blues, Roots Rock, Gospel, Funk, and Country.

Friday, March 1 - New Jersey Symphony Presents Carmina Burana. (NEWARK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Symphony will present two performances of Carl Orff's spectacular choral masterpiece, Carmina Burana: Friday, March 1, 2024 at 8:00pm and Sunday, March 3 at 3:00pm, both at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.

Saturday, March 2 - San Jose Taiko to Present Sounds of Traditional Japanese Drumming at RVCC Theatre. (BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- San Jose Taiko will share the sounds of traditional Japanese drumming with local audiences on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg. The group will present its performance of Rhythm Journey. Showtime is 8:00pm.

Saturday, March 2 - Albert Music Hall presents Irish-Themed Night. (WARETOWN, NJ) -- On Saturday, March 2, 2024, Albert Music Hall presents a special Irish-themed night. It begins with a live performance by Irish dancers from D'Arcy School of Irish Dance followed by Irish music from 5 of our finest local bands: Pishy Cloots, The Cook College Ramblers, The Successful Failures, Greg McGarvey, and Helen O'Shea.

Sunday, March 3 - Master Pianist's Historic Return to America Starts in Princeton with Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition". (PRINCETON, NJ) -- On March 3 at 4:00pm, Altamura Legacy Concerts (ALC) at Princeton United Methodist Church presents master Russian pianist and Tchaikovsky Competition jury member Boris Petrushansky performing Mussorgsky's iconic Pictures at an Exhibition paired with Schumann's masterpiece Davidsbündlertänze, Op. 6. This concert marks the septuagenarian’s historic return to the U.S.A. in over two decades.

Sunday, March 3 - Lucy Wijnands Salutes Sarah Vaughan at March Jersey Jazz LIVE! Concert in Madison. (MADISON, NJ) -- "Sarah Vaughan could do anything with her voice," says vocalist Lucy Wijnands. "The way she sang a ballad was how I wanted to sing a ballad. She had so much class and personality in her singing, and nobody else sounded quite like her."

Vivid Stage presents "Gone Missing". (SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage presents Gone Missing from February 22 through March 3, 2024 at the Oakes Center in Summit. Featuring a Book by Steve Cosson and Music and Lyrics by Michael Friedman, this is a wry and whimsical documentary musical of loss devised from interviews with real-life New Yorkers by The Civilians, the acclaimed New York-based company.

Algonquin Arts Theatre presents "Misery". (MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre presents Misery by William Goldman, based on the novel by Stephen King. The show runs from February 24 through March 3, 2024. Made popular by the Kathy Bates, James Caan film, Misery becomes stranger than fiction when an acclaimed romance novelist wakes up in the home of his "Number One Fan."

George Street Playhouse presents the World Premiere of "The Club". (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Everyone wants to belong to the club, but what will it cost you? That's the question in The Club by Chris Bohjalian, which is being presented by George Street Playhouse from February 27 to March 17, 2024. The Club is rich with biting wit and startling twists as it explores racism, marriage, and the lies we tell ourselves daily. And though the play is set in 1968, it's eerily timely. MAC Players at the Middletown Arts Center presents "Jesus Christ Superstar". (MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- The MAC Players at the Middletown Arts Center presents the timeless, rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar over two weekends, March 1–3 and March 8–10, 2024. The first musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice to be produced for the professional stage, Jesus Christ Superstar has wowed audiences for over 50 years!

Phoenix Productions presents "Ragtime, the Musical". (RED BANK, NJ) -- Phoenix Productions presents Ragtime, the Musical at the Count Basie Center for the Arts from March 1-3, 2024. Based on the novel by E.L. Doctorow, this musical tapestry follows the journeys of an African-American family, a Jewish immigrant family, and a wealthy white suburban family in turn-of-the-last-century America, who collide in pursuit of their American Dream.

"The Life and Music of George Michael" comes to bergenPAC. (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- From the producers of the highly acclaimed "The Simon & Garfunkel Story," comes a new concert-style show that chronicles the amazing journey George Michael had with music and his fans. "The Life and Music of George Michael" captures the performance and sound of one of the biggest international stars of our time--with concert style staging and lighting--from his early hits with Wham! and his illustrious solo career. The show comes to Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 8:00pm.

Graham Phillips and Talia Suskauer lead cast of "Sunday in the Park with George" at Axelrod PAC. (OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Axelrod Performing Arts Center, in collaboration with Grind Arts Company, presents a bold new production of Stephen Sondheim's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece Sunday in the Park with George from March 8-24, 2024. The show is directed and choreographed by Eamon Foley (Broadway's Gypsy, Assassins, 13: The Musical) and starring TV and film star Graham Phillips (CBS's The Good Wife, CW's Riverdale) and Broadway's Talia Suskauer (Wicked's Elphaba). Music director Nate Patten (Broadway's Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, School of Rock) will conduct the 11-piece orchestra.



Luna Stage presents the World Premiere of "RIFT or White Lies". (WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Luna Stage presents the World Premiere of RIFT or White Lies by Gabriel Jason Dean, directed by Ari Laura Kreith, from February 8 to March 10, 2024. Two brothers--one a progressive novelist, the other a convicted murderer and high-ranking member of a white supremacist prison gang–are united through their traumatic childhood. Now adults, these men navigate the edges of their brotherly bond. Are they truly so different? Is it possible to love someone whose beliefs you hate? RIFT is a story of estrangement, ideological divide, and the fight to change one another.

Theater League of Clifton presents "A Tribute to Carol Burnett". (CLIFTON, NJ) -- The Theater League of Clifton will present its dinner/theater production of "A Tribute to Carol Burnett" beginning on Saturday, February 10, 7:30pm, at Mario's Restaurant, 710 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. The show will recreate favorite comedy skits from the popular Carol Burnett Show, which aired for 11 seasons (1967-1978) on the CBS television network and won numerous Emmy awards.

The Summit Playhouse presents "Agnes of God". (SUMMIT, NJ) -- The Summit Playhouse presents Agnes of God by John Pielmeier. The production runs during the weekends from February 23- through March 9, 2024, at The Summit Playhouse. Summoned to a convent, Dr. Martha Livingstone, a court-appointed psychiatrist, must assess the sanity of a novice accused of murdering her newborn.

Music Mountain Theatre presents "Fun Home". (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre (MMT) presents the musical, Fun Home, weekends from February 23 through March 10, 2024. Fun Home, based on the autobiographical graphic novel by Alison Bechdel, has a book with lyrics by Lisa Iron and music by Jeannie Tesori. This is the third mainstage show of MMT's 2024 season.

NJRep presents the World Premiere of "ESSPY". (LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company (NJRep) will kick off its 27th season with the world premiere of Nandia Shenoy's ESSPY, directed by Peter J. Kuo, beginning February 22, with its opening night on February 24 and running through March 17, 2024. ESSPY is a comic-drama about a young medical student embarking on a journey he never expected.

Black Box PAC presents a Staged Reading of "Everything In The Garden". (TEANECK, NJ) -- In association with The Estate of Edward Albee, Black Box PAC presents 1963's Everything In The Garden on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024 at Debonair Music Hall. From the masterworks to the rarely seen, this curated monthly series began in May 2023 and has presented staged readings of works such as The Sandbox, The American Dream, Finding The Sun, The Man Who Had Three Arms, Malcolm, Counting the Ways, Listening, Fragments (A Sit-Around), The Play About The Baby, and The Lady From Dubuque. Admission is free.

Tylie Shider Talks About Inspiration behind "Lift Every Voice: A Letter to the Editor" which Pushcart Players will present in Minneapolis. Pushcart Players, New Jersey's Emmy-nominated and award-winning touring theatre for family audiences, will present Lift Every Voice: A Letter to the Editor on February 28 and 29 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was in Minneapolis where the New Jersey playwright, Tylie Shider, found the inspiration to write this piece.

Chatham Players presents "The Beauty Queen of Leenane". (CHATHAM, NJ) -- The Chatham Community Players presents the gloriously funny; wickedly amusing play, The Beauty Queen of Leenane by Martin McDonagh from March 1-16, 2024 at The Chatham Playhouse. Set in the mountains of Connemara, County Galway, this play tells the darkly comic tale of Maureen Folan, a plain and lonely woman in her early forties, and Mag, her manipulative aging mother, whose interference in Maureen’s first and possibly final chance of a loving relationship sets in motion a train of events that leads inexorably towards the play’s terrifying dénouement.

Dragonfly Multicultural Arts Center presents 3rd Annual One-Act Play Festival. (PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- Dragonfly Multicultural Arts Center, the nonprofit community theater, housed within the historic duCret Center of Art in Plainfield, presents its third annual one-act play festival from March 1-3, 2024. Set to showcase the vibrant talents of New Jersey playwrights, this year's festival will feature an eclectic line-up of five captivating productions, including four world premieres and one New Jersey premiere.

Trenton Native, MCCC Alum Returns to Kelsey Theatre Stage for Special Presentation of "Black Girl Magic". (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- It will be something of a homecoming for Trenton native Taylor Pickett-Stokes when she takes the stage at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC) Kelsey Theatre with the Virginia-based Underground Performing Arts Collective (UPAC) and their presentation of "Black Girl Magic," March 1-3, 2024.

Triple Threat Theater Productions presents "The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical". (CAMDEN, NJ) -- Triple Threat Theater Productions presents The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical at the Waterfront South Theatre from March 1-3, 2024. As a son of Poseidon, Percy Jackson has newly discovered powers he can't control, monsters on his trail, and is on a quest to find Zeus' lightning bolt to prevent a war between the Greek gods.

Center Players to hold auditions for "Coyote". (FREEHOLD, NJ) -- Center Players will hold auditions for the original music production of Coyote on Sunday, March 3rd from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and Monday, March 4th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Auditions take place at Center Playhouse (35 South Street) in Freehold. The play features Music and lyrics by Tim McCorry; Book by Michael Aman and Tim McCorry.

Saturday, March 2 - The Irish Comedy Tour comes to Newton. (NEWTON, NJ) -- The Irish Comedy Tour comes to The Newton Theatre on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 8:00pm. This show takes the party atmosphere of a Dublin pub and combines it with a boisterous, belly-laugh band of hooligans.

Thursday, February 29 - Grunin Center presents screening of "Beyond Their Years: The Incredible Legacies of Herb Carnegie and Buck O’Neil". (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Grunin Center for the Arts presents a screening of the documentary "Beyond Their Years: The Incredible Legacies of Herb Carnegie and Buck O’Neil" on Thursday, February 29th. The film will be screened at 11:00am and 6:00pm with a panel discussion following the evening screening. The film depicts the compelling story of parallel lives lived by sports and social justice icons Herb Carnegie (hockey) and Buck O'Neil (baseball), who were excluded, because of their race, from competing at the highest professional leagues of the sports they loved.

Wednesday, February 28 - Rider University to host annual film symposium. (LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ) -- Landmark documentaries and personal nonfiction films are the subjects of Rider University's Department of Media Art's annual film symposium, which will take place on February 28 and 29, 2024. "Real Life, Reel Representation: The Art and (Personal) Politics of Nonfiction Film" will feature acclaimed speakers, a student film and screenwriting festival, and several student and faculty panel presentations.

Thursday, February 29 - Kean Stage presents ReelAbilities New Jersey. (UNION, NJ) -- Kean Stage presents ReelAbilities New Jersey with screenings from Thursday, February 29 to Saturday, March 2, 2024. This film festival celebrates the lives, stories and artistic abilities of people with all types of disabilities through award-winning short and feature-length films. Films can either be screened in person at Kean University or viewed virtually from home. In-person screenings take place in the North Ave Academic Building (the corner of 1000 Morris Ave. and North Ave.) on the Kean University campus in Union.

Saturday, March 2 - NJPAC presents "Batman" live in concert with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Calling all Batman Fans! You can see a screening of Batman live in concert with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 8:00pm. Watch Tim Burton's 1989 film (PG-13) on the big screen as the New Jersey Symphony performs Danny Elfman's score, live.

Tuesday, February 27 - Discover Tuskegee Airmen's History, Impact at Ocean County Library Manchester Branch. (MANCHESTER, NJ) -- The addition of African-American aviators during World War II not only strengthened U.S. military might, but also propelled our nation toward racial and social equality. Join historian Paul E. Zigo for "The Tuskegee Airmen: America's First Black Pilots" at the Ocean County Library Manchester Branch on Tuesday, February 27. The event begins at 2:00pm.

Thursday, February 29 - Morristown ONSTAGE to Take Place February 29th. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The Morris Educational Foundation (MEF) presents its premier fundraiser, Morristown ONSTAGE, on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) in Morristown. This event brings people of all ages together to celebrate and discover unique local talent. The 17th annual event will showcase 15 inspiring acts with diverse performances spanning rock, R&B, theater, and-up comedy, pop, jazz and more, all to benefit the Morris School District. Doors open at 6:30pm, showtime is 7:00pm.
