Theater League of Clifton presents "A Tribute to Carol Burnett"

(CLIFTON, NJ) -- The Theater League of Clifton will present its dinner/theater production of "A Tribute to Carol Burnett" beginning on Saturday, February 10, 7:30pm, at Mario's Restaurant, 710 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. The show will recreate favorite comedy skits from the popular Carol Burnett Show, which aired for 11 seasons (1967-1978) on the CBS television network and won numerous Emmy awards.

Cast members include Carl Bergmanson, Joe Di Bartolo, Michael Del Valle, Jonathan Rudolph, Nathan Mac, Joanna Sigurdsson, Eileen Mager, Howell Mayer, Janice Lynn, and Felicia Benson-Kraft. Special guest stars will be featured each night at the dinner/theater.

Bill Kaufman will direct the production and Mark Peterson (president of the Theater League) is the show’s producer. John Traier is the assistant producer, Joanna Sigurdsson is the assistant director, and Shiloh Pino is the stage manager.

Tickets are priced at $65 per person and include a buffet dinner, bread, coffee, tea, soda and dessert. The restaurant can accommodate dietary restrictions by request in advance of reservation dates. A cash bar will be available for patrons. Tickets are available for purchase online; by calling (973-928-7668); or regular mail—payment by check only. Director Kaufman has a long list of credits, directing shows for the Theater League of Clifton, Nutley Little Theater, the Montclair Operetta Club and the Bergen County Players. Last year he directed the Theater League’s dinner/theater production of “Meshuggah-Nuns” He’s also been a theater teacher at several northern New Jersey schools.

In addition to opening night, performance dates for the show are set for February 11, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, March 2 and 3. Friday and Saturday performances start at 7:30pm and Sunday matinees begin at 4:00pm.

Founded in 2005, the Theater League of Clifton is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering an appreciation of the arts through theatrical performances, while providing quality entertainment for all ages.
