(WOODBRIDGE, NJ) -- The Woodbridge Community Players presents The Wedding Singer July 22-24 and July 29-30 at The Theater at Woodbridge Middle School. The Wedding Singer takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up and a wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room. Based on the hit Adam Sandler movie, The Wedding Singer's sparkling new score does for the '80s what Hairspray did for the '60s. Just say yes to the most romantic musical in twenty years.

(WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Pleasant Valley Productions is presenting Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical July 15-16 and July 22-23 - each night at 8:00pm - at Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center in West Orange.  The production is directed by Elizabeth Rogers, music directed by Daniel Mullen, and choreographed by Nicole Boscarino.  Photographer John Posada was on hand to take some photos.
"The Marvelous Wonderettes" to be presented at Centenary Stage Company


(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company and the NEXTStage Repertory are currently in rehearsals for the final mainstage production of the 2022 Summerfest, The Marvelous Wonderettes. This show will run July 28 through August 7 in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center on the Centenary University campus at 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ.  This Off-Broadway hit takes you to the 1958 Springfield High School prom, where we meet Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy: four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts!

(NEW YORK, NY) -- Black Box Performing Arts Center's New Production of Eric Bogosian's 1+1 opened at The Chain Theatre on July 8, as a special NYC Premiere. The production headlines The Chain's Play Festival, running for select performances through July 22.  
ELTC Celebrates Kurt Vonnegut with "Who Am I This Time (& Other Conundrums of Love)"


(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- Since Kurt Vonnegut (1922 – 2007), the author of "Slaughterhouse-Five," would have been 100 this year, the Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company is celebrating the occasion by offering three of his charming stories in "Who Am I This Time? (& Other Conundrums of Love.)"  Adapted by Aaron Posner, these humorous tales filled with heart take place in the small town of North Crawford, Connecticut in 1962.

Adrian Belew to Play Shows in NJ/NY/PA in August


(NEWTON, NJ) -- Legendary guitarist, Adrian Belew, recently released a new solo album called Elevator. He's on tour supporting the album and will be coming to the area in August. First is a show at the Newton Theatre on August 6 then shows at the Philadelphia City Winery on August 16 and one at the New York City Winery on August 18.

Morven Announces Greer Luce as Curator of Education and Public Programs


​​​​​​​(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Morven Museum & Garden has named Greer Luce as their new Curator of Education and Public Programs. Volunteering as a docent at Morven in 2013 after graduating with a BA in History from Gettysburg College, Greer’s time at Morven sparked her interest in public history and inspired her to pursue a graduate degree in museum studies. Upon earning an MA in History Museum Studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program, Greer returned to the Garden State and started as Communications Officer, later Chief Communications Officer, with the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of the New Jersey Department of State. 
SOPAC's Spring Appeal Raises $65,000


(SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- The South Orange Performing Arts Center’s Spring Appeal for fiscal year 2022 raised $65,000. That sum includes $40,000 in donations and a $25,000 match from Edrington.
