"The Shark is Broken" at George Street Playhouse Goes Behind the Scenes

In June, 1975, the movie Jaws began running in movie theaters. Directed by Steven Spielberg, it was such a powerful film that countless numbers of people became afraid to go into the water. This year, the film celebrates its 50th anniversary making it a terrific time to see the play, The Shark is Broken. Written by Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon, it is presented by George Street Playhouse now through Sunday, May 18, 2025.

"Jaws." It was an iconic moment in cinema history. The three-time Academy Award-winning film is credited as the first true "summer blockbuster," having toppled box office records to become the top-grossing film of 1975. And as we approach its 50th anniversary, George Street Playhouse is bringing the behind-the-scenes story of the film's making to the stage.



Middletown Arts Center and Dunbar Repertory Company presents "Green Honey Love"

(MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- The Middletown Arts Center, in conjunction with Dunbar Repertory Company, presents the Spring Comedy, Green Honey Love, across two weekends from May 16-25, 2025. The play, written by Gail Wynn Huland El and directed by Damien S. Berger, is a story about adultery, deceit, greed, and conspiracy of murder – your everyday comedy.
