This heartfelt play follows Arnold Beckoff, a Jewish drag queen performing as "Virginia Ham" in New York City. As he navigates love, family, and identity, he faces both joy and hardship.
Faith and Frosting Collide in "The Cake" at Bergen County Players (ORADELL, NJ) -- Enjoy a touching and topical dramedy as love clashes with conscience in Bergen County Players' (BCP) production of The Cake. The play, written by Bekah Brunstetter, producer/writer for the hit TV series This Is Us, is directed by Carol Fisher of Teaneck. NJCU Center for the Arts presents Alanis Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill" (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- New Jersey City University's Center for the Arts presents Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill across two weekends from March 20-29, 2026 in the Margaret Williams Theatre. Released in June 1995, "Jagged Little Pill" made a household name of Alanis Morissette, earning her the title of the best-selling international debut artist in history. Three decades later, that same album was the inspiration for a Broadway musical. Jagged Little Pill is a raw, edgy, topical, and by no means difficult to swallow.
Square Ducks Productions to Present "Muse" at Mile Square Theatre (HOBOKEN, NJ) -- A new theater company – Square Ducks Productions – which specializes in shows for the special-needs community, will present its first production, Muse, at Mile Square Theatre across two weekends from March 20–29, 2026. Megan Thee Stallion to make her Broadway debut in "Moulin Rouge! The Musical" (NEW YORK, NY) -- Producers of the Tony Award®-winning, record-breaking Broadway hit Moulin Rouge! The Musical have announced that three-time Grammy Award-winning superstar and actress Megan Thee Stallion will make her Broadway debut in the production as "Zidler", impresario of the titular nightclub. RVCC to Stage Student Theatre Production of One-Act Comedy, "The Whole Shebang" (BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College's Arts & Design department will present a student theatre production of The Whole Shebang, a one-act play by Rich Orloff, March 25-27, 2026.
