Alfa Art Gallery presents "The Mundane in Motion"

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Alfa Art Gallery presents the Summer 2025 NBAS Oil, Sculpture and Mixed Media Exhibition, The Mundane in Motion. This is a dynamic group exhibition that transforms everyday gestures into expressive visual language through painting and sculpture. The collection offers a glimpse into the emotional resonance of daily life, highlighting how color, texture, and movement can elevate the ordinary into moments of quiet reflection. The exhibition is free and open from August 26, 2025, until October 18, 2025.





 

Skylands Museum of Art presents Spotlight on the Artist: Massimo Rao

(LAFAYETTE, NJ) -- The Skylands Museum of Art presents a new fine art exhibition offering a Spotlight on the Artist: Massimo Rao, the Italian artist known for his classic yet somewhat mysterious painting style, opened Memorial Day weekend and will be on view through October 2025. The exhibition is on display in the museum's Sanctuary Gallery and highlights eight Rao works from the permanent collection, including oil and tempera paintings, lithographs and drawings, each of which serve to call attention to his unique creative perspective. Entrance to the Spotlight on the Artist is included with museum admission, a suggested donation of $10 per person.



Carroll Gallery presents "Tattoos: Modern Expression & Ancient Art"

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- A new, visually engaging Carroll Gallery exhibit at the Emlen Physick Estate opening Friday, April 11, on display through Sunday, November 2, 2025, explores the art, history and self-expression of tattooing. Learn about the range of expression and history of this ancient art form in this Carroll Gallery Exhibit on the grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate (1048 Washington Street) in Cape May.



Princeton University Art Museum presents solo exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Léni Paquet-Morante

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Léni Paquet-Morante: Extract / Abstract, an exhibition of recent works by the Hamilton, New Jersey–based painter, will be on display at the Princeton University Art Museum's ArtatBainbridge gallery from July 19 to November 9, 2025. Through a combination of process-driven imagery, abstraction, and color, Paquet-Morante's work reconfigures familiar landscape elements to capture the elusiveness of memory and dreams. Curated by Michael Quituisaca, a graduate student in Princeton’s Department of Art & Archaeology, the exhibition will showcase works by the artist across acrylic painting, ink drawing, and monoprints.



Zimmerli Celebrates Native American Artists With "Indigenous Identities"

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University-New Brunswick stands within Lenapehoking, the historical territory of the Lenni-Lenape people. The past melds with the present in February when the Zimmerli hosts Indigenous Identities: Here, Now & Always, described by Zimmerli officials as one of the largest, most comprehensive museum exhibitions of contemporary Native American art, featuring more than 100 works across a range of media, from beadwork and jewelry to video and painting.
