"Liar...Liar - Pants on Fire!"

Friday, June 14, 2024 @ 7:00pm

Alkemy Coffee Co.
2 Stangl Road, Flemington, NJ 08822

Call it a cross between a game show and a story slam: Four storytellers. One complete liar. The audience gets to grill, interrogate and query the storytellers to figure out using their best Sherlock Holmes insight to figure out who the fabulous fabricator is. "Liar...Liar - Pants on Fire!" comes to Alkemy Coffee in Flemington on Friday, June 14, 2024. Showtime is 7:00pm.

This interactive storytelling show brings some of the best damn liars who raise the art of fabrication to new heights. Storytellers whose credits include "The Moth", Yum's The Word, Stories from the Stage, the RISK! live show and podcast,   The Story Collider live show and podcast, PBS Stories From The Stage in Boston, This American Life, Story District in Washington, DCThe Armando Diaz Experience at The Magnet Theater, the Capital Fringe Festival, The ARTICHOKE Storytelling Series, On The Waterfront Storytelling Series, Word of Mouth Storytelling - the Bucks County Playhouse, This Really Happened at the Hopewell Theatre, Driving Jersey, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The show on Friday, June 14th will feature the following experienced storytellers: Will Reisen, John “Gemini” Lombardi, Denise McCormack, and Katie Zurich. It is hosted by Joey Novick, comedian, writer and storyteller.

Tickets are $10 and available for purchase online. Alkemy Coffee Co. is located at 2 Stangl Road in Flemington, New Jersey.

Will Reisen is a New Jersey based storyteller, musicians and trivia champion. He is the co-host of the monthly Story Slam in High Bridge, and was a featured storyteller on “Discover Jersey-Here’s the Story: The Tellers of High Bridge”. Most of the time Will believes honesty is the best policy. Yeah, right.

John “Gemini” Lombardi was born in Brooklyn, New York.  With his quick and sense of humor, Gemini started performing comedy and magic at the age of eleven. He’s headlined at the Borgata Comedy club as well as many comedy clubs nationally. With a smirk like that and born Brooklyn, you really gonna believe ANYTHING this guy says?

Denise McCormack’s favorite stories are tales of aged heroes and strong, wise women: creation tales, myths and epics that speak of values and perseverance. She has been a featured teller and workshop presenter at the National Storytellers Network Conferences and the New Jersey Storytelling Festival. With a smile like that, we are pretty sure Denise is ready to scam you out of your entire bank account.

Katie Zurich writes unapologetically about ordinary things that often give us extraordinary joy. Obviously, she’s hiding a dark secret since her photo is in black and white.

Joey Novick has been a political comedian, camp counselor, editorial director, attorney, busboy, radio show host, professional speaker, child actor and an elected official in New Jersey - but not necessarily in that order.
