Peak Performances at Montclair State University presents the U.S. Premiere of "Hotel Paradiso"

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- PEAK Performances at Montclair State University presents Familie Flöz’s Hotel Paradiso, May 5–8, rescheduled from 2020 and, for the first time ever, bringing the Berlin-based mask theater company’s gorgeously peculiar and awe-inspiring vision to U.S. audiences. Strange things happen in Hotel Paradiso, a comedic thriller chock full of eccentric characters including a pajama-wearing front-desk clerk, a kleptomaniacal maid, and a cook who chops up more than just pork.



Plainfield Symphony to Close Out Season with "Fabulous Fours"

(PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- Plainfield Symphony presents their 102nd Season Final Concert: “Fabulous Fours” on Saturday, April 30 at 7:00pm under the baton of Maestro Charles Prince. Itay Goren will be the soloist for Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 followed by Brahms’ masterful Symphony No. 4. This inperson concert will also be livestreamed on the PSO YouTube Channel.

A Leg To Stand On Music has released the new single "Everybody Knows the Way the Wind Blows" by Deena and Chasing Colours. Deena aka Deena Shoshkes began her music career as co-founder of The Cucumbers, a leading band in the 80s indie pop scene in Hoboken, NJ, with reviews in Rolling Stone and People Magazine and videos on MTV. Deena’s new song "Everybody Knows the Way the Wind Blows" is the result of a long distance collaboration with UK-based producer Chasing Colours available on all music platforms.

OCC Repertory Theater Company presents "The Crucible"

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Grunin Center for the Arts at Ocean County College will transform into 17th century Salem this month when the OCC Repertory Theater Company presents Arthur Miller’s classic, The Crucible, at the Black Box Theater.  The production is directed by Paul Chalakani and presented by special arrangement with Dramatist Play Service, Inc.  Performances take place April 22-24 and April 29 to May 1st.



Brett Dean's "Hamlet" Arrives at the Met

(NEW YORK, NY) -- From May 13 to June 9, the Metropolitan Opera presents the North American premiere of composer Brett Dean and librettist Matthew Jocelyn’s acclaimed opera Hamlet, starring tenor Allan Clayton, soprano Brenda Rae, mezzo-soprano Sarah Connolly, baritone Rod Gilfry, and bass-baritone John Relyea, conducted by Nicholas Carter.



Laughs in the Loft to Celebrate 1st Anniversary with Show on SOPAC's Mainstage

(SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- Laughs in the Loft is a monthly series hosted by South Orange-based comedian Joe Larson. Each show features several stand-up comedians. On Wednesday, June 1, the South Orange Performing Arts Center will celebrate the one-year anniversary of this series with a special show on the SOPAC mainstage. The lineup includes Jon Fisch, Usama Siddiquee, and Jessica Kirson. The show begins at 7:30pm.



Jersey Shore Team Hope Walk/5K Run To Support HDSA To Take Place April 30th

(LAKE COMO, NJ) -- The New Jersey Chapter of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) will host the Jersey Shore Team Hope Walk/5K Run on Saturday, April 30th at 8:00am at Bar Anticipation in Lake Como, NJ. All proceeds support HDSA’s mission to improve the lives of people affected by Huntington’s disease (HD) and their families.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
