A Leg To Stand On Music has released the new single "Everybody Knows the Way the Wind Blows" by Deena and Chasing Colours. Deena aka Deena Shoshkes began her music career as co-founder of The Cucumbers, a leading band in the 80s indie pop scene in Hoboken, NJ, with reviews in Rolling Stone and People Magazine and videos on MTV. Deena’s new song "Everybody Knows the Way the Wind Blows" is the result of a long distance collaboration with UK-based producer Chasing Colours available on all music platforms.

On the creation and collaboration of "Everybody Knows the Way the Wind Blows" Deena explains “Chasing Colours sent the music my way and I sent the words and melody back to him on the internet wind across the Atlantic. Around the world we’ve become all too aware of airborne illness and toxic ideas. Love, hope and music travel in the air too, and the more of those things we put into the breeze, the more there will be in the world.” The result of this wonderful pop ballad has a special wider mission as Deena continues, “The gift of love, hope and mobility that A Leg To Stand On facilitates is a profound and tangible way to help children and make a difference in their lives. I am delighted and honored to be able to contribute a song to ALTSOMusic.”

A Leg To Stand On Music is part of the A Leg To Stand On charity organization to raise funds to provide critical and life-changing mobility treatments to children in developing countries. The organization who recently celebrated their 20,000th child treated since programs began in 2003. By providing free, high-quality prosthetic limbs, orthotic braces, and appropriately fitted wheelchairs to ALTSO’s CoolKids, the charity offers not only mobility to each of its beneficiaries, but the ability to independently attend school each day, in areas where public transportation is absent or unaffordable, providing them access to education, self-esteem, and tools to live self-sufficiently.

A Leg To Stand On Music in association with label Declared Goods and FUGA Distribution has released numerous releases in 2021 from ALTSO All stars, Chris Caruso, "A Christmas Present For You (From Zero Hour)” a collection of legendary mid 1990’s Artists, and the ALTSO's 2021 Rocktoberfest Compilation of music from the annual A Leg To Stand On event – which happened virtually on Oct 22^nd, 2021 - featuring 15 bands from New York, Chicago, London, and Paris. 2022 is set to be a banner year for A Leg To Stand On Music with a releases from an exciting mix of upcoming and popular artists donating music to benefit ALTSO’s CoolKids! Deena has kept it going ever since with two solo albums, new releases from The Cucumbers, The Campfire Flies (indie folk pop), RockDownBaby (lofi electronica), Over The Moon (rock and roll for kids) and TaikoZoku (Japanese drumming). Deena’s songs have been recorded by several artists (including Jackson Browne) and have found their way into tv and film (most recently “The Little Things” starring Denzel Washington and Remi Malek). Deena's songwriting has been called "direct and artful," by the New York Times, her voice "…incredible: kidstuff and wisdom merged," by the Village Voice.
