Schubert’s beloved Quintet in A major, D. 667 “Trout” will be performed by Eugene Drucker, violin; William Frampton, viola; Roberta Cooper, cello; Timothy Cobb, bass; and Gili Melamed-Lev, piano. This quintet is nicknamed “Trout” because movement four is a set of variations on Schubert’s earlier lied “Die Forelle.”
