Thursday, June 22, 2023 - The Smooth Cruise Is Back!. (NEW YORK, NY) -- Smooth Jazz New York with Smooth Jazz New Jersey present Jonathan Butler and Gerald Albright on The Smooth Cruise on June 22, 2023. The cruise sails from Pier 40 (Westside Hwy. and Houston Street) in New York, NY. Boarding is at 6:30pm; the cruise departs at 7:30pm. There is a buffet and cash bar available on board.

Thursday, June 22, 2023 - Vanguard Theater presents "Spring Awakening". (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Vanguard Theater presents Spring Awakening from June 22 to July 16, 2023. This hit musical features music by Duncan Sheik and book and lyrics by Steven Sater. An electric, vibrant celebration of youth and rebellion, censorship and its consequences, Spring Awakening fuses issues of morality, sexuality, and rock and roll into a story that packs a powerful emotional punch.

Friday, June 23, 2023 - Brick City Comedy Revue presents North to Shore Edition with Chris Gethard. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Brick City Comedy Revue, Newark's premier comedy showcase, has joined the festivities of North to Shore with a special edition on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Kilkenny Alehouse. The event, hosted by Justin Williams and DJ Popido, promises a special line-up of some of the best comedians around. The comedy lineup includes Chris Gethard, Kenice Mobley, Shakir Standley (Shak), Alex Grubard, and Ariel Leaty. The musical guest is Jané Miranda. Showtime is 8:00pm.

Friday, June 23, 2023 - The Princeton Festival presents "I Am Harvey Milk" by Andrew Lippa. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- On Friday, June 23 at 7:00pm and Saturday, June 24 at 7:00pm the Princeton Festival presents I Am Harvey Milk, a musical theater oratorio by acclaimed Broadway composer and lyricist Andrew Lippa (Big Fish, The Addams Family). The show celebrates the legacy of Harvey Milk, an American icon and the first openly gay man to hold office in California.

Friday, June 23, 2023 - Studio Players presents "The Real Thing" by Tom Stoppard. (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Cue one passionate but never fully satisfying love affair between Henry and Annie. That's the premise behind The Real Thing by Tom Stoppard, which is being presented by Studio Players this June.

Saturday, June 24, 2023 - Monmouth University's Center for the Arts presents The Boxmasters. (WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- Monmouth University's Center for the Arts presents The Boxmasters (Billy Bob Thornton and J.D. Andrew) on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 8:00pm in the Pollak Theatre. Formed in 2007, The Boxmasters have recorded an impressive and diverse catalogue of music that touches on their love of a wide array of influences, but most importantly, the rock and roll of the 1960's.

Sunday, June 25, 2023 - Count Basie Center for the Arts presents Rufus Wainwright. (RED BANK, NJ) -- Count Basie Center for the Arts presents Rufus Wainwright on Sunday, June 25 at 7:30pm. His upcoming album, Folkocracy, is Rufus Wainwright revisiting his roots, of childhood summers spent at folk festivals and watching his famous family on stage. But it’s also the sound of an artist in the present using all he has learnt from conquering pop to opera and showtunes.

Tuesday, June 20, 2023 - Teens, Master Ceramic Art at Ocean County Library Toms River Branch on June 20th. (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Ceramic items add beauty to any living space, and they’re great gifts as well. Teens can create ceramic replicas of sea life in the Makerspace of the Ocean County Library Toms River Branch on Tuesday, June 20. All materials will be provided for this unique one-hour program for young adults aged 13 to 18. Create and decorate a colorful ceramic fish, and take your masterpiece home after it’s been fired in the kiln. The event begins at 3:00pm.

Tuesday, June 20, 2023 - Newark Symphony Hall Presents the Black Creative Economy Summit, Empowering Black Artists and Entrepreneurs. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Newark Symphony Hall, New Jersey's largest and oldest Black arts institution, is proud to announce that it will host the city's first-ever Black Creative Economy Summit from June 20-22, as part of the state's North to Shore Conference. The three-day event aims to foster investment opportunities for artists in technology, film, media and performing arts, while promoting the power of the Black creative economy.

Tuesday, June 20, 2023 - Teaneck Pride Announces Exhibition of Photography by Danielle Richards. (TEANECK, NJ) -- Teaneck Pride announces the opening of a Photography Exhibition, "This Is Who I Am / This Is Who We Are" at the Puffin Cultural Forum. The exhibition features photography by Teaneck photographer Danielle Richards that present portraits of Bergen County LBGTQ+ families and individuals. It will run from June 20 through July 31, 2023.

Wednesday, June 21, 2023 - International Volcano Wine Conference to Take Place June 21st. (NEW YORK, NY) -- //PRWEB) John Szabo, Master Sommelier and award-winning author, in concert with Volcanic Wines International (VWI) have announced the return of the ‘International Volcanic Wine Conference (IVWC)’, which will take place in New York City on June 21st, 2023. The event follows the highly successful previous editions, held in March 2018 and in June 2019, and Szabo’s acclaimed book on the subject, ‘Volcanic Wines: Salt, Grit and Power,’ published in 2016.

Wednesday, June 21, 2023 - Make Music Day to Take Place in Englewood on June 21st. (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Celebrate the arrival of Summer with free outdoor concerts as Make Music Englewood returns for its third year, joining over 1,000 worldwide locations on international Make Music Day. Make Music Day is held at outdoor locations every June 21 in honor of the Summer Solstice with origins in France as "La Fête de la Musique," and now is held in over 120 countries.

Wednesday, June 21, 2023 - Hudson West Fest and Hudson Theatre Works host Open Mic on June 21st. (WEEHAWKEN, NJ) -- Hudson West Fest, in partnership with Hudson Theatre Works, is hosting an Open Mic for acoustic singer-songwriters and Poetry/Spoken Word on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. It takes places at Hudson Theatre Works, located within the Wilson School, and runs from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.

Thursday, June 22, 2023 - British Comedy "Round and Round the Garden" by Alan Ayckbourn to Be Performed in a Plainfield Garden. (PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- Dragonfly Multicultural Arts Center presents Round and Round the Garden from June 22-25 on the front porch and in the garden of duCret Center of Arts where Dragonfly is the resident theater company. Round and Round the Garden, by acclaimed British playwright Alan Ayckbourn, focuses on the complicated interactions and tangled relationships of the main character, Norman, who just wants to be loved. The hilarious play explores themes of romance, lust, and the complexities of human nature through the conflicts of his family members and many love interests.

Thursday, June 22, 2023 - Golden Door International Film Festival takes place June 22-24. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- The Golden Door International Film Festival is back for its 12th season of offering local, national and international independent filmmakers a forum for screening and premiering their work. This year's festival will run June 22-24, 2023. The grand opening takes place on Thursday, June 22 at 6:00pm with a block of short films, cocktail hour and red carpet celebration. The festival culminates with a red carpet awards ceremony at Art House Productions on June 24 at 6:00pm.

Thursday, June 22, 2023 - Centenary Stage Company presents 80's Revolution. (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- 80's Revolution will hit the Sitnik stage at Centenary Stage Company on Thursday, June 22 at 7:30pm. This performance will take place in The Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center on the campus of Centenary University at 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ.

Friday, June 23, 2023 - Rock, Ribs & Ridges Festival to return for 13th Annual Year in June. (AUGUSTA, NJ) -- It's never too early to think about summer and the unique Southern Rock music festival to kick off the concert season: Rock, Ribs & Ridges Festival. The festival, presented by Franklin Sussex Auto Mall, is returning to the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, NJ from June 23-25. Top legends of Southern rock-the Artimus Pyle Band, 38 Special and Blackberry Smoke are a few of the headline acts set to perform for the 13th annual music and barbecue festival. Other not-to-be-missed acts include the Devon Allman Project, Samantha Fish featuring Jesse Dayton and Dead on Live performing Grateful Dead Favorites, among others.

Friday, June 23, 2023 - Mickey Hart to Present Artwork at Wentworth Galleries in Virginia and New Jersey. (SHORT HILLS, NJ) -- As the Dead & Company prepare for their final Farewell Tour this summer, the bands legendary percussionist, Mickey Hart, will present his newest art collection, the Art of Mickey Hart during two of the groups tour stops. Hart is scheduled to appear at the Wentworth Gallery at Tysons Galleria in McLean VA on Sunday, June 4th at 2:00pm and on Friday, June 23rd at 6:30pm at the Wentworth Gallery at Short Hills Mall in Short Hills, NJ. Friday, June 23, 2023 - NJCU Center for the Arts presents "The Third Rail". Sunday, June 25, 2023 - Samantha Fish and Jesse Dayton to Perform at Rock, Ribs & Ridges Festival. (AUGUSTA, NJ) -- Among the artists to check out at the upcoming Rock, Ribs & Ridges Festival is the pairing of Samantha Fish and outlaw country badass Jesse Dayton who will perform on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 4:30pm. The Garden State Wine Growers Association (GSWGA) has announced the cancellation of Sips, Stars & Stripes: A NJ Wine Revolution, originally scheduled for May 30, 2026. The decision comes in response to the unprecedented freeze events that impacted vineyards across New Jersey during April 2026. According to vineyard managers and growers throughout the state, prolonged overnight temperatures below freezing caused extensive and widespread damage to grapevines in nearly every wine-producing region of New Jersey.

State Theatre New Jersey's A Night in Lights Annual Benefit Gala to Take Place May 30th

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey (STNJ) invites the community to its signature fundraising event, A Night in Lights Annual Benefit Gala, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Christopher's Restaurant & Bar located inside The Heldrich Hotel.
