2023 Teaneck International Film Festival Preview - (TEANECK, NJ) -- The 18th annual Teaneck International Film Festival will be held in partnership with the Puffin Foundation, Ltd., November 5-12, 2023.  This year “the film festival with a social conscience” will be dedicated to the late Bob McGrath, beloved resident of Teaneck and Sesame Street. The festival will be hybrid with both in-person (live) screenings and virtual screenings.

Thursday - 2023 Teaneck International Film Festival to Open with Screening of "Invisible Beauty". (TEANECK, NJ) -- The 18th Teaneck International Film Festival begins Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Teaneck Cinemas, 503 Cedar Lane with the opening film: Invisible Beauty. The documentary is about fashion revolutionary Bethann Hardison, a pioneering Black model, modeling agent, and activist, who has had, and continues to have, a major impact on the fashion industry – in front of the camera and behind the scenes. The screening begins at 7:30pm.

Friday - Outpost in the Burbs presents Carousel of Time - A Joni Mitchell 80th Birthday Tribute. (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Outpost in the Burbs presents Carousel of Time - A Joni Mitchell 80th Birthday Tribute on Friday, November 10, 2023 at the First Congregational Church of Montclair. The concert features performances by Deni Bonet & Chris Flynn, Emily Grove, Mary Lee Kortes, Heather Maloney, and Jesse Terry. Showtime is 8:00pm.

Friday - Irish Super Group Celtic Thunder Returns to MPAC with ODYSSEY. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- PBS darlings Celtic Thunder return to play Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) in Morristown on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 8:00pm. ODYSSEY, the latest show from the internationally acclaimed group, is a fascinating exploration of Irish music and culture, firmly grounded in the ensemble's impressive history, while ambitiously forging new paths. Friday - Teaneck International Film Festival to Screen "The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks". (TEANECK, NJ) -- On Friday, November 10, 2023, the Teaneck International Film Festival will screen The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks at Teaneck Cinemas (503 Cedar Lane). Rosa Parks was so much more than the woman who refused to move to the back of the bus. This 96-minute film, directed by Johanna Hamilton and Yoruba Richen, delves deep into Ms. Parks' historic role in the Montgomery bus boycott and the Civil Rights Movement. The screening takes place at 7:30pm.

Saturday - Monmouth University's Center for the Arts presents Paul Mecurio's Permission to Speak. (WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- Monmouth University's Center for the Arts presents Paul Mecurio's Permission to Speak on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 8:00pm in the Pollak Theatre. Paul Mecurio is an Emmy & Peabody Award winning comedian for his work on "The Daily Show w/Jon Stewart," "The Colbert Report" and "The Late Show w/Stephen Colbert." Tickets range from $30-$40.

Saturday - Concert Premiere of new song cycle by John Sichel in Summit. (SUMMIT, NJ) — On Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the United Methodist Church of Summit (17 Kent Place Boulevard), bass Hans Tashjian and pianist Anna Keiserman will premiere Paradoxides, a new song cycle by John Sichel. The concert is free to the public and begins at 7:00pm.

Saturday - State Theatre presents Bluey's Big Play. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Bluey's Big Play on Saturday, November 11 and Sunday November 12, 2023 at 10:00am & 2:00pm. Bluey's Big Play is the first live stage show for Bluey, which is based on the Emmy® Award-winning animated preschool series that airs on Disney Junior, Disney Channel, and Disney+. Sunday - MPAC presents Theater of Light. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The universal symbol of light will illuminate the rich cultural diversity of our community when Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) transforms the Vail Mansion Plaza into a "Theater of Light" on Sunday, November 12 at 5:00pm.

Sunday - Woodbridge Township presents Beth Nielsen Chapman at Avenel Performing Arts Center. (AVENEL, NJ) -- Woodbridge Township presents Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman at the Avenel Performing Arts Center on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 3:00pm.

Sunday - Makin Waves with Reagan Richards: ‘Sacred Ground‘. Singer-songwriter Reagan Richards of the Asbury Park country duo Williams Honor with Gordon Brown is honoring her recently departed mother, Harriet, a big band singer from Pittsburgh who performed many times with Les Paul throughout her career. Reagan’s sentimental journey through the Great American Songbook, “with love, reagan,” features material by songwriting legends, such George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer, and Rodgers & Hammerstein.

Monday - bergenPAC presents The Beach Boys. (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) presents The Beach Boys on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 8:00pm. As The Beach Boys mark more than a half century of making music, the group continues to ride the crest of a wave unequalled in America’s musical history. The Beach Boys – who have become synonymous with the California lifestyle and an American icon, are bringing their “America’s Band” tour to fans around the world.

Tuesday - Prudential Center presents The 1975. (NEWARK, NJ) -- The 1975 will perform at the Prudential Center in Newark on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 as part of their 'Still ... at their very best' tour. It's their biggest North American tour to date. Showtime is 7:30pm.

Wednesday - NJPAC presents Pimpinela. (NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents Argentinian Latin/Pop singers brother and sister duo Pimpinela to Newark on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 8:00pm.

Friday - Christian Nodal to Perform in NY and NJ in November. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Cardenas Marketing Network (CMN) has announced the new American tour of Christian Nodal, titled 'Foraji2 Tour 2023,' that will visit more than 30 cities across the country. Grammy Award-winning Nodal, known as the creator of 'mariacheño' that unites the musical genres of norteño and mariachi, will visit the country’s largest and most important venues with a fresh and unique show that stays true to the essence that has rapidly made him one of the most successful stars in the world of Regional Mexican music. Locally, the tour comes to UBS Arena in New York on November 10th and the Prudential Center in Newark on November 11th.

Friday - The Newton Theatre presents The Tenors: Now & Forever Tour. (NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre presents The Tenors: Now & Forever Tour on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 8:00pm. The Tenors are an award winning, multi-platinum recording group, who have performed thousands of concerts on five continents. They have performed for The Royal Family, six of the past US presidents, for the G20 world leaders, on over 150 TV shows and at all the major league sports all-star games.

Friday - The Wonder Bar presents Noah Vonne. (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Noah Vonne is fire. She is the kind of fire that can belt a blues rocker with the detached power of youthful confidence and the heart-on-the-sleeve pathos of mature adulthood. Her explosive songs sound like spiked mixtures of old-school melodies and riffs coupled with modern-day slices of alt-rock coolness and psychedelic sonic swirls. Her musical passion is lit from the inside out.

Friday - Glen Burtnik, Jeff Kazee, and more to join Remember Jones in TOMMY Concert Engagement at AxelrodPAC. (DEAL PARK, NJ) -- Remember Jones and Axelrod Performing Arts Center are excited to announce very special guests as part of their theatrical celebration of The Who's rock opera Tommy, running six performances from November 10-19, 2023. Please note: this is NOT the musical Tommy, but a special theatrical concept concert of The Who's original rock opera.

Friday - Perkins House Concert Series presents The Jersey Corn Pickers. (MOORESTOWN, NJ) -- On Friday, November 10, 2023, Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown presents The Jersey Corn Pickers as part of their House Concert Series. They are a Philadelphia-area band that plays original and traditional high-energy bluegrass and Americana music. Their style is infused with old time, folk, rock, blues, traditional country and all manner of American roots music. The concert begins at 8:00pm.

Saturday - NJPAC presents Vanesa Martín. (NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) welcomes acclaimed Spanish recording artist Vanesa Martín to Newark on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 8:00pm. Vanesa will perform her hits from her latest albums and offer some of the best-known music of her beginnings.

Saturday - The Newton Theatre presents the Artimus Pyle Band. (NEWTON, NJ) -- The Newton Theatre presents the Artimus Pyle Band on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 8:00pm. This is a tribute to Ronnie Van Zant's Lynyrd Skynyrd band featuring Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Lynyrd Skynyrd Drummer Artimus Pyle.

Saturday - The Vogel presents Taylor Simon King. (RED BANK NJ) -- The Vogel presents Taylor Simon King (TSK) on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 7:30pm. The lives and careers of three iconic American singer/songwriters, James Taylor, Carly Simon and Carole King, have always overlapped ant intertwined – and their music continues to inspire generation after generation. TSK celebrates these musical icons with unique arrangements, fan favorites, deep cuts and engaging storytelling with multimedia projections.

Saturday - PSO to Perform Spears' Completion of Mozart Requiem with the Westminster Symphonic Choir. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Edward T. Cone Music Director Rossen Milanov leads the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) in performances of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Requiem in a 21st-century completion by Gregory Spears the weekend of November 11-12, 2023. Performing Mozart's masterpiece with the PSO are the Westminster Symphonic Choir and four soloists: Abigail Rethwisch, soprano, Chelsea Laggan, mezzo-soprano, Carlos Enrique Santelli, tenor, and Eric McKeever, baritone.

Sunday - NJPAC presents Gladys Knight on November 12th. (NEWARK, NJ) -- The Empress of Soul-seven-Time Grammy Award winner, Gladys Knight will perform live at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 7:00pm. Gladys Knight never disappoints by putting on a high-energy show performing all of her hits that stand the test of time and the songs that everyone knows and loves like "Midnight Train to Georgia," "Heard it Through The Grapevine," "That’s What Friends Are For," and so much more.

Sunday - Newton Theatre presents The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra. (NEWTON, NJ) -- The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra will perform at The Newton Theatre on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 3:00pm. Tickets range from $39-$49 and are on sale now.

Sunday - Vibraphonist Chuck Redd and Pianist John di Martino to Perform at November New Jersey Jazz Society Concert in Madison. (MADISON, NJ) -- In his review of vibraphonist Chuck Redd's 2019 Dalphine Records album, Groove City, Dan Bilawsky of AllAboutJazz wrote that "one of the standout moments comes in balladic form with (Billy Strayhorn's) 'A Flower Is a Lovesome Thing'. Redd and (John) di Martino, sans rhythm section, dim the lights, and capture the essence of beauty in less than three minutes. It's the type of performance that passes quickly yet hangs in the air. It's but one of many examples of how Chuck Redd lives atop and within a song."

Sunday - bergenPAC presents Nick Carter. (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) presents Nick Carter on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 7:00pm. At the age of 12, Nick Carter quickly became an international pop superstar as the youngest member of the iconic boy band, Backstreet Boys. With his boyish good looks and heartthrob status, Carter's 30-year entertainment journey has extended far beyond sold-out arenas, encompassing a diverse range of projects in television, film, philanthropy, and publishing.

Monday - Geddy Lee: My Effin' Life In Conversation Comes to NYC and Philly. Award-winning Canadian musician Geddy Lee has announced My Effin' Life In Conversation. The tour will see the Rush singer/bassist bring to life his forthcoming memoir My Effin' Life, due for release on November 14th on Harper Collins. Produced by Live Nation, the 14-city tour kicks off on November 13th at The Beacon Theatre in New York, making stops across North America in Boston, San Francisco, Chicago and more before wrapping up in Toronto at Massey Hall on December 7th.

Paper Mill Playhouse presents "The Great Gatsby". (MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse has announced the complete cast and creative team for its world-premiere production of The Great Gatsby, based on the iconic novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Luna Stage presents the World Premiere of "Westphalia". (WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Luna Stage presents the World Premiere of Westphalia by Helen Banner from October 21-November 12, 2023. Directed by Lila Rachel Becker on Luna's MainStage, Westphalia imagines a futuristic world in which citizenship can be bought and sold, and where artificial intelligence determines an individual's psychological fitness to make bold life choices.

Music Mountain Theatre presents "Elf, the Musical". (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre (MMT) presents a special four-weekend run of Elf, the Musical from October 27 through November 19, 2023. Get in the holiday spirit with the family favorite based on the beloved 2003 New Line Cinema hit!

Bergen County Players to present "Master Class". (ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players (BCP), one of America’s longest-running little theater companies, is excited to present the intense and powerful Tony Award-winning Master Class, weekends from October 28 to November 18. Under the direction of Alan Demovsky, this dramatic and profound play by Terrence McNally, one of America's preeminent playwrights (Love! Valor! Compassion!, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Ragtime, The Full Monty), is regarded as "rich, vivid," and "satisfying" by The New York Times. The drama about famed opera singer Maria Callas will coincide this year with the 100th anniversary of her birth.

Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents Disney's "The Little Mermaid". (PITMAN, NJ) -- Broadway Theatre of Pitman is presenting Disney's The Little Mermaid weekends through November 19, 2023. Based on the classic Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, and the wildly popular Disney film, this musical staging of The Little Mermaid features a funny and fanciful book by Doug Wright, with the beloved score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Glenn Slater in an expanded but completely faithful form, featuring the rambunctious and persuasive "Under the Sea," the romantic expectation of "Kiss the Girl," and that anthem to longing and belonging, "Part of Your World."

Middlesex College presents "John Proctor is the Villain". (EDISON, NJ) -- Middlesex College presents John Proctor is the Villain by Kimberly Belflower with 6 performances between November 1-11 at the Performing Arts Center in Edison. The play takes place at a rural high school in Georgia, a group of lively teens are studying The Crucible while navigating young love, sex ed, and a few school scandals.

Maplewood Strollers to Present "Children of Eden". (MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Maplewood Strollers, the resident theater company of The Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts in Maplewood, present Children Of Eden - a musical of Biblical proportions! Stephen Schwartz's epic tale of the triumphs and trials of family, and the beauty of the human spirit all come to life in across three weekends from November 3-19, 2023.

East Lynne Theater Company presents "The Death of Sherlock Holmes?" radio-style production. (CAPE MAY, NJ) -- Before streaming and podcasts, even before TV, there was radio, which delighted families across the country with shows such as "The Shadow," "The Lone Ranger" and Orson Welles' "The Mercury Theatre on the Air." Actors would read their parts live in a studio, while sound effects would paint a picture of the scene and mood for the listeners, helping to immerse them into a world they could see using just their imaginations.

Friday - 1st Ugly Pancake Comedy Festival rescheduled for November 10-11. (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Originally scheduled for the end of September, but postponed due to flooding in Asbury Park, Ugly Pancake Productions presents its 1st Ugly Pancake Comedy Festival November 10-11, 2023.

Saturday - Sound Waves presents comedian Nikki Glaser. (ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- Sound Waves in Hard Rock Hotel & Casino presents comedian Nikki Glaser on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 7:00pm. Nikki is one of the funniest female voices in comedy today. For nearly two decades at clubs across the country, and as the host of three hit podcasts, Nikki has been honing her shockingly honest, no-holds barred style of comedy.

Friday, November 10, 2023 - Pushcart Players presents "Outta’ This World: The Adventures of Kalien the Alien" at the Bickford Theatre. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Pushcart Players, New Jersey’s Emmy-nominated and award-winning touring theater for family audiences will present "Outta' This World: The Adventures of Kalien the Alien" on November 10th at the Bickford Theatre at Morris Museum in Morristown. Founded in 1974, Pushcart will be celebrating 50 years of stirring up serious fun for young people nationwide.

(TINTON FALLS, NJ) -- From 9:00am-2:00pm on Saturday, November 11, 2023, the Monmouth County Park System will host its Fall Craft Show at the Fort Monmouth Recreation Center, Tinton Falls. State Theatre New Jersey 2024 Benefit Gala features performance by Jay Leno

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey will host its annual Benefit Gala on Saturday, June 8, 2024. The gala, whose proceeds are essential for STNJ to continue to make world-class arts programming affordable and accessible to individuals from all ages and backgrounds in our diverse New Brunswick community and beyond, will take place at the historic State Theatre. The evening includes dinner, dancing, a silent auction, and a performance by comedian Jay Leno.
