(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The stage is calling! The Morris Educational Foundation (MEF), a non-profit organization enhancing excellence in education in the Morris School District for 34 years, is inviting local amateur performers of all ages to audition for the 20th anniversary of Morristown ONSTAGE, taking place Thursday, February 25, 2027, at Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) in Morristown.

Presented by the MEF, Morristown ONSTAGE is the nonprofit organization’s largest annual fundraiser, bringing the greater Morristown community together for an unforgettable night of live entertainment while raising funds to support educational programs, resources and experiences throughout the Morris School District.

The event will showcase the best amateur talent from those who live, work, worship, receive talent training, or attend school in Morristown, Morris Township, and Morris Plains as well as alumni of Morristown High School. Auditions will be held Saturday, December 5, 2026, at Morristown High School, and performers are encouraged to register early. Registration is free through Monday, November 9, at www.morristownonstage.com.

“Twenty years of Morristown ONSTAGE is an incredible milestone, and we’re excited to celebrate by putting the call out for the next generation of performers ready to take the stage,” said Chris Volinsky, co-chair of the Morristown ONSTAGE Committee and Morris Educational Foundation Board of Trustees. “Morristown ONSTAGE brings our community together through the power of local talent, while raising funds that create meaningful learning opportunities for students across the Morris School District. We can’t wait to see who auditions for this very special 20th anniversary show.”

Doubled Prizes and Special Anniversary Surprises - To celebrate the anniversary, Morristown ONSTAGE has doubled all cash awards, giving finalists even more to compete for. Finalists will now vie for two $2,000 first-place cash prizes—one for contestants ages 19 and over and one for contestants ages 18 and under. The Audience Choice Award will increase to $1,000, while the $500 Rossoff Rising Star Award supports a talented performer’s continued training.

The anniversary show will also feature special surprises honoring memorable performances, past winners, and the talented individuals who have made Morristown ONSTAGE a beloved community tradition.

Celebrating 20 Years of Community Support - Atlantic Health System’s Morristown Medical Center returns as the event’s Headline Sponsor for an incredible 20th consecutive year, helping make this milestone celebration possible.

Since its inception, Morristown ONSTAGE has raised nearly $2 million to benefit the Morris School District. Created to expand the Morris Educational Foundation’s ability to provide financial and other resources for enrichment programs and projects, the event has become the organization’s largest annual fundraiser and a meaningful part of the MEF’s work to create supplemental educational opportunities for District students.

Tickets and Sponsorship Opportunities - Tickets for the anniversary performance of Morristown ONSTAGE will go on sale in early 2027.
