(DEAL PARK, NJ) -- Remember Jones and Axelrod Performing Arts Center are excited to announce very special guests as part of their theatrical celebration of The Who's rock opera Tommy, running six performances from November 10-19, 2023. Please note: this is NOT the musical Tommy, but a special theatrical concept concert of The Who's original rock opera.
Remember Jones will act as creative director and musical director, and sing the songs of the character Tommy, originally sung by Roger Daltry. He will be joined by Glen Burtnik (hit songwriter and entertainer currently with The Weeklings, as well as known for his time with Styx) as Uncle Ernie, Jeff Kazee (best known for his high-profile role as bandleader/keyboardist/producer for Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes and pianist/vocalist with the powerful piano-driven Early Elton Trio, as well as touring and recording with Bon Jovi) as the Pinball Wizard, Johnny Pisano (Willie Nile) on bass and as the Doctor, JaQuita May (Summer of Love, Disciples of Soul) as The Acid Queen, Joey Secchiaroli (The Reign of Kindo, Remember Jones) as The Hawker, Jeremy Rotolo (singer/songwriter/actor, Rock of Ages, American Idiot) as Cousin Kevin, Taylor Tote (singer/songwriter) as Sally Simpson, and a 10-piece band including Joe Bellia of The Weeklings, Jeremy Korpas, Chris Brouwers, Mike Gilch, Stevi Incremona, members of Remember Jones touring band, and more! Asbury Audio is providing and designing sound, with Gil Mason-Butch designing lights and Mallory Massara designing projections.
The Who’s rock opera TOMMY starring Remember Jones will run for 6 intimate performances at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center in Deal, NJ, November 10-19.
