Wednesday, March 18 - The Ravi Shankar Ensemble to Perform at McCarter Theatre. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Schirmer Theatrical, part of Wise Music Group, presents a new concert production introducing The Ravi Shankar Ensemble— a multi-generational collective of world-class musicians curated by Anoushka and Sukanya Shankar. The ensemble is dedicated to the masterful compositions and enduring legacy of sitarist Ravi Shankar whose innovative artistry brought Indian classical music to the world. The production comes to McCarter Theatre on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 7:30pm.

The Growing Stage presents "Mesmerized: A Ben Franklin Science and History Mystery"  (NETCONG, NJ) -- The Growing Stage, the children's theatre of New Jersey, is presenting Mesmerized: A Ben Franklin Science and History Mystery weekends from March 6-22, 2026. This was adapted for the stage by Suzanne Maynard Miller and is based on the book Mesmerized: How Ben Franklin Solved a Mystery that Baffled All of France by Mara Rockliff. Ocean County College Repertory Theater Company presents "Dancing at Lughnasa". (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Ocean County College Repertory Theater Company presents Dancing at Lughnasa across two weekends from March 13-22, 2026 in the Black Box Theater. This extraordinary play by Brian Friel is the story of five unmarried sisters eking out their lives in a small village in Ireland in 1936.

Friday, March 20 - Carteret PAC presents Max Weinberg's Jukebox on March 20th. (CARTERET, NJ) -- New Jersey rock & roll icon Max Weinberg brings his high-energy, interactive, audience-driven show Max Weinberg's Jukebox to the URSB Carteret Performing Arts & Events Center on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 9:00pm.

Friday, March 20 - State Theatre New Jersey presents Diana Krall. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Diana Krall – Tour 2026 on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 8:00pm. Diana's unique artistry transcends any single musical style and has made her one of the most recognizable artists of our time. As The New York Times recently noted, Krall possesses "A voice at once cool and sultry, wielded with a rhythmic sophistication."

The MTM Players to present "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" at Kelsey Theatre. (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- Truth to power and the struggle of the non-conformist against the institution—sometimes tragic, sometimes hilarious—take the stage when The MTM Players presents One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, across two weekends from March 20-29, 2026 at the Kelsey Theatre on Mercer County Community College's West Windsor Campus.

Saturday, March 21 - Split Level Concerts presents Joy Clark and Sug Daniels. Saturday, March 21 - Americana Women celebrates the Queens of Country and Folk at Kean University. (HILLSIDE, NJ) -- Kean Stage presents Americana Women on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Enlow Recital Hall. Americana Women celebrates American folk music from its earliest origins through current country, rock, and folk. The show will have you toe-tapping, clapping, and singing along! Showtime is 7:30pm.

Jersey Arts Podcast: 'Dog Man: The Musical' Unleashes the Pilkey-verse Onstage. From the mind of Captain Underpants creator Dav Pilkey, Dog Man is half man, half police officer, and the beloved subject of 14 graphic novels, a major motion picture, and a theatrical production—Dog Man: The Musical. Director/choreographer Jen Wineman, book writer/lyricist Kevin Del Aguila, and composer Brad Alexander discuss bringing this beloved character and his strange, silly world to the stage.

Sunday, March 22 - Grunin Center presents Adam Moezinia Trio. (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Guitarist Adam Moezinia will perform at the Grunin Center for the Arts at Ocean County College on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 3:00pm. The event is part of the Grunin Center's Jazz on a Sunday Afternoon concert series.

Sunday, March 22 - Jersey Arts Podcast: 'Queen of Kids' Music' Laurie Berkner is Back on Home Turf for McCarter Concert. Laurie Berkner has been dubbed "The Queen of Kids' Music" by People Magazine, and it's not hard to see why. Berkner's songs have been streamed 1.7 billion times. She's sold 1.5 million albums and appeared at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Carnegie Hall, and the White House. She was even seen her in the recent HBO documentary, Happy and You Know It, which features some of the biggest names of the genre.

Thursday, March 19 - Princeton Symphony Orchestra presents International Award-Winning Erinys Quartet at Trinity Church. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) presents the Erinys Quartet on its Chamber Series at Trinity on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 7:00pm. Earlier this season, the ensemble won the 13th Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition in Norway.

Friday, March 20 - Starland Ballroom presents Cheap Trick on March 20th. (SAYREVILLE, NJ) -- Starland Ballroom presents Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Cheap Trick on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 8:00pm. Hunterdon Hills Playhouse presents "The Sunshine Boys" by Neil Simon. (HAMPTON, NJ) -- Hunterdon Hills Playhouse presents The Sunshine Boys by Neil Simon from February 24 through March 26, 2026. This is a classic comedy about two aging vaudeville performers, Willie Clark and Al Lewis, who were once a legendary duo but haven’t spoken in years due to a bitter falling out.

Music Mountain Theatre presents "Shrek". (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre presents Shrek weekends from February 27 through March 22, 2026. Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline, or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire.

The Curtain presents a new adaptation of Shakespeare's "Richard III". (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- The Curtain, Jersey City's premier classical theatre, will present an all-new adaptation of William Shakespeare's Richard III this March at Nimbus Arts Center weekends from March 5-29, 2026. Directed and adapted by Sean Hagerty, this morbidly comic, blood-soaked classic charts the ruthless rise of Shakespeare's most notorious king.

Somerset Valley Players presents "Come Blow Your Horn" by Neil Simon. (HILLSBOROUGH, NJ) -- Somerset Valley Players presents Come Blow Your Horn by Neil Simon across three weekends from March 6-22, 2026. The play tells the story of a young man's decision to leave the home of his parents for the bachelor pad of his older brother who leads a swinging '60s lifestyle.

The Ritz Theatre Company presents "She Kills Monsters". (HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Ritz Theatre Company presents She Kills Monsters from March 6-29, 2026. A comedic romp into the world of fantasy role-playing games! In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres and 90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.

Westfield Community Players presents "The Diary of Anne Frank". (WESTFIELD, NJ) -- Westfield Community Players presents The Diary of Anne Frank across three weekends from March 7-21, 2026. This play is by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hacketts based upon Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, adapted by Wendy Kesselman. The production is directed by Sharon Coyle.

The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents "Anastasia, The Musical". (PITMAN, NJ) -- The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents Anastasia, The Musical weekends from March 6-29, 2026. From Tony winners Terrence McNally, Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, creators of such Broadway classics as Ragtime and Once On This Island, this dazzling show transports its audience from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s.

The Road Company presents August Wilson's "Fences". (WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ) -- The Road Company presents August Wilson's Fences across two weekends from March 12-22, 2026. The play one the 1987 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a 2010 revival won the Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award for best revival.

The Maplewood Strollers presents "Private Lives". (MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Maplewood Strollers presents Private Lives across two weekends from March 12-22, 2026. When a divorced couple accidentally find themselves honeymooning with their new spouses in adjacent rooms, sparks fly in this classic comedy of manners by the witty and wry Noël Coward!

South Camden Theatre Company presents "The Revolutionists". (CAMDEN, NJ) -- South Camden Theatre Company presents The Revolutionists by Lauren Gunderson across three weekends from March 13-29, 2026. The play takes place in 1793 where four bold women—playwright Olympe de Gouges, assassin Charlotte Corday, ribbon-loving Marie Antoinette, and Haitian rebel Marianne Angelle—team up in a wild, feminist comedy set amid the Reign of Terror.

Spotlight Players presents "Once Upon a One More Time". (MATAWAN, NJ) -- Spotlight Players is thrilled (and yes, just a little smug) to present the NJ community theatre premiere of Once Upon a One More Time, a glitter-drenched, pop-powered fairy tale remix that proves there's more than one way to live happily ever after. Performances run across two weekends from March 13-22, 2026. This is a jukebox musical based on songs popularized by Britney Spears and Book by Jon Hartmere.

Trilogy Repertory presents "The Secret Garden". (BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- Trilogy Repertory presents The Secret Garden across two weekends from March 13-22, 2026 at the Sieminski Theater. This enchanting classic of children's literature is reimagined in brilliant musical style by composer Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright of 'Night Mother.

Masquerade Theatre presents Henrik Ibsen's "A Doll House". (RIVERSIDE, NJ) -- Masquerade Theatre presents Henrik Ibsen's A Doll House across two weekends from March 13-21, 2026. This groundbreaking play centers on Nora Helmer, a seemingly content wife and mother, whose seemingly perfect life is shattered by a secret she's kept from her husband, Torvald.

The Barn Theatre presents "Torch Song" by Harvey Fierstein. (MONTVILLE, NJ) -- The Barn Theatre presents Torch Song by Harvey Fierstein across three weekends from March 13-29, 2026. This heartfelt play follows Arnold Beckoff, a Jewish drag queen performing as "Virginia Ham" in New York City. As he navigates love, family, and identity, he faces both joy and hardship.

Faith and Frosting Collide in "The Cake" at Bergen County Players. (ORADELL, NJ) -- Enjoy a touching and topical dramedy as love clashes with conscience in Bergen County Players' (BCP) production of The Cake. The play, written by Bekah Brunstetter, producer/writer for the hit TV series This Is Us, is directed by Carol Fisher of Teaneck. It opens March 14 and runs through April 11, 2026 at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell.

Fool Moon Theatre Company to present "Love Letters" in Somers Point And Egg Harbor City. (EGG HARBOR CITY, NJ) -- Fool Moon Theatre Company's upcoming production of A.R. Gurney's “Love Letters” will be performed in two Atlantic County locations. On March 14, audiences can see the beloved two-person show at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Egg Harbor City, then from March 21-22, 2026 theatergoers can catch the play at Studio;Space in Somers Point.

New Jersey Theatre Alliance presents The 2026 Combined Auditions. (HILLSIDE, NJ) -- New Jersey Theatre Alliance (NJTA), the service organization for the state and region's 41 professional theatres, will hold auditions in Enlow Recital Hall on the campus of Kean University in Hillside, NJ on Monday, March 16 from 10:00am-5:00pm for Equity performers, and Tuesday, March 17, 2026 from 10:00am-5:00pm for Non-Equity performers. This is a fantastic opportunity to be seen by multiple theatres at once. Representatives from their member theatres will follow up with actors directly if they are interested in working with them.

Arden Theatre Company presents a Bold New Take on "Romeo and Juliet". (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Philadelphia-based Arden Theatre Company presents Romeo and Juliet from March 5 through April 5, 2026 on the F. Otto Haas Stage. Directed by Barrymore Award–winning director Amina Robinson, the production offers a bold and resonant vision of Shakespeare's iconic work. This reimagined work breathes new life into a story that confronts cycles of violence, power, and lost innocence, blending contemporary perspectives with classic Shakespearean elements.

First Avenue Playhouse presents "Old Love". (ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ) -- First Avenue Playhouse presents Old Love across three weekends from March 13-28, 2026. This hilarious and heart-warming play is by Norm Foster.

Classic American Tales presents "Margaret's Diary During a Revolution". (CAPE MAY, NJ) -- "Before we retired to bed, an attempt was made to teach the children to pronounce 'vegates,' (how do you do?) like a German. Our good neighbors are a little concerned to think there is not one in the neighborhood who will be able to interpret for us when the Hessians are quartered here," wrote Margaret Morris in her diary on December 21, 1776.

Spring Lake Theatre Company presents "Jesus Christ Superstar". (SPRING LAKE, NJ) -- Spring Lake Theatre Company presents Jesus Christ Superstar across two weekends from March 19-29, 2026. Experience the groundbreaking rock opera that changed musical theatre forever. Jesus Christ Superstar tells the story of the final days of Jesus through a bold, modern lens and a powerful rock score.

Ferrell Studios presents "Spring Awakening". (PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- Ferrell Studios presents Spring Awakening at the duCret Center of Art from March 20-22, 2026. This is the groundbreaking rock musical with music by Duncan Sheik and book and lyrics by Steven Sater, adapted from the controversial 1891 play by Frank Wedekind.

Howell Middle School South Players presents Disney's "The Lion King JR.". (HOWELL, NJ) -- Howell Middle School South Players presents Disney's The Lion King JR. from March 20-21, 2026 at the high school. Based on the landmark Broadway musical directed by Julie Taymor and Disney's beloved animated classic, this abridged version captures the heart, spirit, and spectacle of the world’s most successful stage show.

Lomotion Live Brings the Heat with "The Lifespan of a Fact". (BOONTON, NJ) -- What happens when facts, feelings, and footnotes enter the ring? Lomotion Live invites audiences to find out with The Lifespan of a Fact, a whip-smart, laugh-out-loud, edge-of-your-seat play by Jeremy Kareken & David Murrell, and Gordon Farrell, based on the real-life literary clash by John D'Agata and Jim Fingal. Performances take place March 20-22, 2026 at the Parsippany Arts Center.

Dover Little Theatre presents "Much Ado About Nothing". (DOVER, NJ) -- Dover Little Theatre presents Much Ado About Nothing across three weekends from March 20 to April 4, 2026. This a comedy by William Shakespeare, revolves around two romantic pairings that emerge when a group of soldiers arrive in the town. The production is directed by Julieta Quinteras Amat.

Villagers Theatre's BlackBox series presents "Diary of a Simpy Kid". (SOMERSET, NJ) -- Villagers Theatre's BlackBox series presents Diary of a Simpy Kid across two weekends from March 20-29, 2026. Based on the beloved book and movie series “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” by Jeff Kinney, the show is a musical parody of the iconic characters we all know and love.

October Ensemble presents the World Premiere of "Oh Sh*t, Sherlock!". (OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- October Ensemble presents the World Premiere of Oh Sh*t, Sherlock! weekends from March 20 to April 12, 2026 at The Jersey Shore Arts Center. The actor playing Sherlock has never seen the script. Hilarity ensues as the rest of the cast tries to keep the mystery on track!

NJCU Center for the Arts presents Alanis Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill". (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- New Jersey City University's Center for the Arts presents Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill across two weekends from March 20-29, 2026 in the Margaret Williams Theatre. Released in June 1995, "Jagged Little Pill" made a household name of Alanis Morissette, earning her the title of the best-selling international debut artist in history. Three decades later, that same album was the inspiration for a Broadway musical.  Jagged Little Pill is a raw, edgy, topical, and by no means difficult to swallow.

Square Ducks Productions to Present "Muse" at Mile Square Theatre. (HOBOKEN, NJ) -- A new theater company – Square Ducks Productions – which specializes in shows for the special-needs community, will present its first production, Muse, at Mile Square Theatre across two weekends from March 20–29, 2026. Muse is an immersive theatrical experience inspired by the myth of Persephone.

The Off Broad Street Players presents "The Fantasticks" in Bridgeton. (BRIDGETON, NJ) -- The Off Broad Street Players presents The Fantasticks across two weekends from March 20-29, 2026 at Hopeloft in Bridgeton. There's always time to remember this romantic fable about a boy, a girl, their two fathers and a love that grows with each season.

Main Street Theatre Company presents "Beau Jest". (OLD BRIDGE, NJ) -- Main Street Theatre Company presents Beau Jest by James Sherman across two weekends from March 21-29, 2026. In the play, Sarah is a nice Jewish girl with a problem: her parents want her married to a nice Jewish boy. They have never met her boyfriend, a WASP executive named Chris Kringle. 

Upcoming Staged Reading of "In Equal Measure" at Puffin Cultural Forum to Spark Community Dialogue Rooted in Teaneck's History. (TEANECK, NJ) -- Puffin Cultural Forum, a project of the Puffin Foundation, Ltd., will present a special staged reading of In Equal Measure on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 7:00pm, followed by a facilitated community discussion on police accountability, communal grief, and the moral consequences when justice systems fail. The play centers on a father grappling with the death of his son at the hands of police and the emotional fallout when accountability does not come.

The Theater Project to Present Works by Winners of Young Playwrights Competition 2026. (CRANFORD, NJ) -- Four students from New Jersey high schools wrote the winning plays in The Theater Project's Young Playwrights Competition 2026. They will see their works performed by professional actors at the awards ceremony on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Cranford Community Center (220 Walnut Ave) in Cranford, NJ. Eight students whose work received Honorable Mentions will also be recognized. Showtime is 2:00pm.

Skyline Theatre Company to Kick Off 25th Season with "Unbelievable".
