(NEW YORK, NY) -- Pleiades Gallery presents "Florals for Spring," a kaleidoscopic digital art exhibition featuring the work of north NJ-, NY- and LBI- based artist, Carol Nussbaum, from March 17 to April 11, 2026.

This show features the transformation of Nussbaum's original floral photographs, inviting viewers to investigate these dramatic images in a unique way, through mandala or circular-shaped fine art. This new collection is printed on acrylic glass for crisper edges, bolder colors and deeper blacks. A mandala is traditionally used to signify a sacred space containing a circle with a center point that offers balancing visual elements, symbolizing unity and harmony. Utilizing a motif found in every culture and faith offers viewers a recognizable form, which is then built upon through striking contrast and symmetry in each composition. When taking photos and choosing which ones to work with, patterns, depth of field and sharpness are imperative elements considered in order to create the most impactful mandalas.

Nussbaum's more than 30 years of graphic design experience and 15 years of advertising art direction provided the perfect segue for her as she began to transform her own photographs into digital art.

"What's seen with the eye can, with love and care,  be transformed to suggest a period of time or even a movement in the art world," Nussbaum notes. She adds, "Weaving elements of my travel photographs  or even a trip to a toy store into an intricate mandala brings a new mood to the experience."

The show will be on display from March 17 to April 11, 2026 at Pleiades Gallery, in the Landmark Arts Building in Chelsea, at 547 West 27th Street, Suite 304, NYC. Gallery Hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 12:00pm-6:00pm.

Carol Nussbaum is a digital photographer who "paints" with her photographed images creating circular shaped mandalas while maintaining color, line, and form.

Nussbaum attended Skidmore College where she earned a BS studying fine art, photography and art history. She graduated with honors and moved to NYC, where she won awards for print and television commercials as an art director in the advertising world.

Art has always been central to Nussbaum's core. When her children were small, it was as if no single medium of art could contain her. Creative roles in her career have included children's book illustrator, mural painter, custom stationery designer, and magazine artist–-to name a few.
