New Jersey Authors Network - We believe in the uniqueness of each writer’s voice. Our workshops nurture that pure, honest self-expression in each of our students.

New Jersey Romance Writers - The mission of NJRW since 1986 has been to advance the professional interests of career-focused romance writers by providing support, educational information, and resources to both published and unpublished authors.

The New Jersey Writers Society - This group is for people from New Jersey who share an interest in writing, getting and giving feedback, and getting together to socialize. We are dedicated to providing events and tools for writers all over the State of New Jersey.

Somerset Hills Writers Group - is a supportive group to connect with other writers, find a writing partner, and learn about the resources for publishing. We are in the Somerset Hills area and open for writers of any kind. The group meets from 7-9pm, the first Wednesday of each month at the Bernards Township Library, 32 S. Maple Ave., Basking Ridge NJ. The intent is for writers, who are actively writing and intending to publish, to participate in hands-on editing and constructive critique of each other’s work in a supportive atmosphere.

SJWG: South Jersey Writer's Group - We host events and activities for writers in all stages of their careers, in Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester Counties; most events also available virtually too!

Women Who Write - Women Who Write, Inc. began in June 1988 as a single writing group called Mothers Who Write. Today, we are a regional women writers' organization and nonprofit corporation with writing groups that meet throughout New Jersey.

New Release Review - "Obsession"

After gathering a sizeable following on YouTube with a series of short comedy skits, Curry Barker used that platform to self-release his feature film debut, 2024's found footage thriller Milk & Serial. Available to watch for free, that movie has racked up over two million views. It's no surprise then that Hollywood knocked on Barker's door, but what is perhaps surprising is how much the Blumhouse-backed Obsession feels like an indie movie rather than a Hollywood production. With an intimate cast and just a handful of locations, you suspect Barker would have made Obsession himself if the House of Blum hadn't thrown money in his direction. Unlike so many other filmmakers who have been rendered soulless by the studio system, Barker has maintained his vision here, and he even casts Milk & Serial's Cooper Tomlinson in a major supporting role.
