For some people, life can feel like a rollercoaster. But for most of us who are fortunate to live in the relative peace and safety of the western world, life is more like one long straight road. There are occasional bumps, but for the most part we spend our lives headed straight towards a certain destination. To save ourselves from going mad, we try to turn off this road as often as possible as we seek variety, but our responsibilities inevitably force us to return to the highway. One of the things we fear most is monotony and the idea that every day will be exactly the same. It's why we punish people by sending them to prison.
After New Jersey Stage celebrated its tenth anniversary in the summer of 2024, the website took a deep dive into its statistics to formulate a plan for the next decade. The goal was to take advantage of the marketing power of having over 35,000 articles in its archives and an audience that reached two million unique visitors in 2025. The numbers kept coming back to one thing - the site’s Event Calendar.

There is a warm feeling in the air at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ). This warmth comes from their current production, It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play. This play provides audiences with an opportunity to see an enactment of the time honored classic story of George Bailey which comes from a short story titled "The Greatest Gift" by Philip Van Doren Stern.
