
(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Harmonium Choral Society will hold selective auditions for a limited number of openings in all voice parts for experienced singers with good sight-reading ability for the 2025-2026 concert season. Auditions will be held on select dates held by appointment starting August 24th going through September 3rd at Grace Church (4 Madison Avenue at Kings Road) in Madison.

Harmonium schedules three major concerts per season: December, March, and June, as well as a Chamber Singers concert and special appearances throughout the year. This concert season dates are December 13th at 7:30pm and December 14th at 3:00pm at the Presbyterian Church in Morristown; March 7th at 7:30pm and March 8th at 3:00pm at Morristown United Methodist Church and June 6th at 7:30pm and June 7th at 3:00pm, also at Morristown United Methodist Church. The Chamber Singers concerts are on May 9th & 10th at Grace Church in Madison.
Harmonium concert soloists are usually selected from the chorus’ members, over one-third of whom are professional musicians and/or music educators. Members are also invited to audition for the Harmonium Chamber Singers, a 20-voice ensemble selected from the full Harmonium chorus.

The 100-voice choral society, directed by Dr. Anne Matlack of Madison, has been recognized for its eclectic programming, choral excellence, community spirit. They also sponsor commissions, musicianship workshops and an annual High School Student Choral Composition Contest, which celebrates its 29th anniversary in 2026. This innovative program won the prestigious Chorus America Education and Outreach Award. Some of the commissioned and premiered works are by Amanda Harberg, Matthew Harris, Elliot Z. Levine, Dale Trumbore, and many more.
