
(MADISON, NJ) -- Come hear the joyful and varied repertoire 42 singers from Harmonium Choral Society will take on tour to France on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Grace Church (4 Madison Ave) in Madison. Music ranges from Bruckner to Billings and Bernstein, Rosephanye Powell, Elizabeth Alexander, Lucy Cook, Mark Miller and more! The concert is free; donations at the door are welcome. The church is accessible, air-conditioned, and has ample parking. Showtime is 7:00pm.
The concerts in the South of France are: Sunday, June 28 at 4:30pm Concert in Thoronet Abbey, Aix-en-Provence area; Tuesday, June 30 at 8:00pm Concert in the Collegiale Saint Salvi, Albi; Wednesday, July 1 at 7:10pm Joint Concert with La Chorale Bulles d'Air in l'Eglise Saint-Jacques, Frons; and Friday, July 3 at 8:30pm Concert in the Basilique Notre-Dame-la-Daurade, Toulouse.
Directed by Dr. Anne J. Matlack since 1987, Harmonium Choral Society is one of New Jersey's leading choral arts organizations. The 100-voice chorus has been recognized for its musical excellence and innovative programming and has commissioned over 30 works by contemporary composers to keep the choral arts vibrant and alive. Harmonium also sponsors musicianship workshops and an outreach chorus that performs in schools, retirement facilities, and other venues. The chorus has toured internationally, including England, Eastern Europe, Spain and Portugal, Greece and Turkey, the Baltics, and most recently to the Balkans in the summer of 2022.
