Thursday, May 1 - Bruce Hornsby and yMusic present BrhyM at bergenPAC. (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Bruce Hornsby and yMusic present BrhyM at Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 7:00pm. Friday, May 2 - State Theatre New Jersey presents Jim Henson's Labyrinth: In Concert. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: In Concert on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 7:30pm. For the first time, Jim Henson’s original masterpiece and musical fantasy film Labyrinth, starring the iconic David Bowie, will transport fans to Goblin City in an exciting fusion of film and live music on stage. Labyrinth in Concert will start with a costume contest on stage. Winners will walk away with some fabulous merchandise.

South Camden Theatre Company presents "How The Light Gets In" by E.M. Lewis. (CAMDEN, NJ) -- South Camden Theatre Company celebrates 20 years of professional theatre in Camden with the regional premiere of How The Light Gets In by E.M. Lewis weekends from May 2-18, 2025. The play is about a travel writer who never travels. A Japanese architect who can't figure out how to build a simple tea house. A gifted tattoo artist who resists the power of his talents. The Mo Willems Classic, "Knuffle Bunny" Arrives At The Growing Stage. (NETCONG, NJ) -- The Growing Stage: The Children's Theatre of New Jersey is thrilled to present, Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical weekends from May 2-18, 2025. Based on the book by Mo Willems and published by Hyperion Books for Children, the musical features a script and lyrics by Mo Willems and music by Michael Silversher. It tells the story of Trixie, her father and her favorite stuffed bunny as they set off on a trip to the Laundromat.

Friday, May 2 - Stanley Jordan to Perform at Avenel Performing Arts Center. (AVENEL, NJ) -- Woodbridge Township presents Stanley Jordan at The Avenel Performing Arts Center with support from Woodbridge Arts on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 7:30pm. James "Biscuit" Rouse will open the night.

Axelrod Performing Arts Center presents "Rock of Ages". (DEAL PARK, NJ) -- The five-time Tony Award-nominated musical Rock of Ages storms into the Axelrod Performing Arts Center in Deal Park, NJ for a limited two-week run from May 2-18, 2025 and brings along with it plenty of hairspray, spandex and glam rock! This jukebox musical celebrating the best of '80s rock, helmed by Emmy-nominated director and choreographer Lisa Stevens, features tunes from the likes of Journey, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister and more!

Adelphi Orchestra presents Northern Harmonies Concert featuring Violinist Matthew Hakkarainen. (RIVER EDGE, NJ) -- The Adelphi Orchestra, New Jersey's longest continuously performing orchestra, presents Northern Harmonies, a stirring concert showcasing the works of Sibelius, Grieg, and Svendsen under the baton of Maestro Kyunghun Kim. Sunday, May 4 - Remember Jones presents Back to BACK TO BLACK: The Amy Winehouse Celebration at Outpost in the Burbs. (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Remember Jones presents back to BACK TO BLACK: the AMY WINEHOUSE celebration at Outpost in the Burbs on May 4, 2025 at 7:00pm (6:30pm doors). Sunday, May 4 - Sammy By The Sea Tribute Event Will Celebrate Sammy Davis, Jr.'s 100th Anniversary!. Wednesday, April 30 - PSO Soundtracks: #quartweets with Signum Quartet. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The award-winning string ensemble Signum Quartet revisits its 2015 #quartweet Project with an interactive talk on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 7:00pm in the Community Room at the Princeton Public Library. Presented by the Princeton Symphony Orchestra in partnership with the Library, the talk will include an explanation of the social media-inspired #quartweet format followed by performances of the Quartet's best loved #quartweets by professional and student composers, as well as premieres of some new #quartweet compositions. The audience will have the opportunity to compose a group #quartweet and hear the music come to life.

Thursday, May 1 - Signum Quartet Returns to Perform on PSO Chamber Series at Trinity Church. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The internationally known ensemble Signum Quartet returns to Princeton on Thursday, May 1, 2025 to perform on the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO)'s new chamber music series at Trinity Church. Friday, May 2 - The Newton Theatre presents Jefferson Starship. (NEWTON, NJ) -- Jefferson Starship brings their 50th Anniversary Tour to The Newton Theatre on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 8:00pm. One of the most successful arena rock bands of the '70s and '80s, they earned 3 platinum and 8 gold records, as well as numerous Top 40 Billboard singles. As they celebrate their 50th anniversary, the band reaches a rare milestone that only a few bands ever achieve.

Friday, May 2 - Stone Pony Summer Stage presents Warren Zeiders with special guest Tyler Braden. Friday, May 2 - The Levoy Theatre presents 2U - "The World's 2nd Best U2 Show". (MILLVILLE, NJ) -- The Levoy Theatre presents 2U - a U2 tribute band on Friday, May 2, 2025. Friday, May 2 - Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series presents Abby Posner with Bob Andrews. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The Folk Project's Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series presents Abby Posner with Bob Andrews on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 7:30pm. The concert is available in-person and via live webcast.

Saturday, May 3 - New Jersey Symphony and Windborne Music Group present The Music of Led Zeppelin. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- New Jersey Symphony and Windborne Music Group present The Music of Led Zeppelin with Brent Havens conducting and Justin Sargent performing as a vocalist on the program. The performances will take place on Saturday, May 3 at 8:00pm, at bergenPAC in Englewood; and Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 3:00pm, at State Theatre New Jersey in New Brunswick.

Sunday, May 4 - Larry Fuller Trio at May Jersey Jazz LIVE! in Madison. Pianist Larry Fuller has always loved musicians who "play at an incredible level but still remain accessible to an audience." Some examples among pianists, he said, are Oscar Peterson, Monty Alexander, Cedar Walton, and Ahmad Jamal. That will be the musical essence of Fuller's performance when he leads a trio on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at the New Jersey Jazz Society's Jersey Jazz LIVE! concert at the Madison (NJ) Community Arts Center. His music, he said, will hopefully "uplift people with the spirit and energy of swinging."

Monday, May 5 - Count Basie Center for the Arts presents the Gene Simmons Band. (RED BANK, NJ) -- Count Basie Center for the Arts presents the Gene Simmons Band on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 7:30pm. Simmons is an international rock legend and co-founder of KISS, America’s #1 gold record award-winning group of all time in all categories (RIAA).

NJ Rep presents "Comfort" by Neil LaBute. (LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company (NJ Rep) continues its 28th season with Neil LaBute's Comfort, directed by Evan Bergman. The production runs from April 17 to May 11, 2025, with opening on April 19, 2025, at NJ Rep's intimate theater in Long Branch. The new play follows the complicated, love-hate relationship between a mother and son as they barrel towards the unknown, battling over ownership of a treasured manuscript.

Music Mountain Theatre presents "POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive". (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre presents POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive weekends from April 18 through May 4, 2025. The play by Selina Fillinger is about a derogatory comment, a summit gone awry, an anal abscess - it's a bad day at the White House.

Centenary Stage Company's NEXTStage Repertory presents "Carrie: The Musical". (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company's NEXTStage Repertory will end their 2025 season with Carrie: The Musical from April 24 through May 4, 2025. With book by Lawrence D. The Summit Playhouse presents "Fun Home". (SUMMIT, NJ) -- The Summit Playhouse presents Fun Home by Alison Bechdel, Jeanine Tesori, and Lisa Kron weekends from April 25 through May 10, 2025. In this groundbreaking and deeply personal musical, Alison Bechdel revisits her past to make sense of her father's secrets and her own journey to self-discovery.

MCCC Theatre and Dance Students present the Musical Comedy "Anything Goes". (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- Get ready to hit the high seas with a cast of zany characters and toe-tapping tunes when the Mercer County Community College (MCCC) Academic Theater and Dance program presents the musical comedy "Anything Goes," April 25 to May 4, 2025 at the Kelsey Theatre on the college's West Windsor Campus.

The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents "West Side Story". (PITMAN, NJ) -- The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents West Side Story weekends from April 25 through May 18, 2025. "Wit" at Playhouse 22 Looks at Life, Death, Poetry, and Compassion. (EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Wit, a drama by Margaret Edson and directed by Ed Faver runs weekends from April 25 - May 4, 2025 at Playhouse 22, as part of the theater's "On the Edge" series. The play centers on Vivian Bearing, a brilliant and seemingly unemotional poetry professor as she undergoes an experimental and extremely aggressive chemotherapy treatment for metastatic Stage IV terminal ovarian cancer.

The trial that shook a nation - Roundtable Theatre Company presents the musical "Parade". (FAIR LAWN, NJ) -- Roundtable Theatre Company presents the Tony-award winning musical PARADE, with music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, and book by Alfred Uhry, from April 25 - May 3, 2025. Set in 1913 Georgia and inspired by true events, PARADE recounts the story of Leo Frank, a Jewish factory manager wrongfully accused of a heinous crime.

Art House Productions presents 2025 INKubator New Play Festival. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Art House Productions presents the 2025 INKubator New Play Festival from April 28 - May 7. This year's playwrights are Phillip Gregory Burke, Sarah Cuneo, Molly Horan, Frank Murdocco, and M. D. Schaffer. Audiences who attend the festival will have the opportunity to participate in conversations with the writers, directors, and actors following each performance. All readings are free to attend, but advanced registration is required.

Masquerade Theatre presents "Once". (RIVERSIDE, NJ) -- Masquerade Theatre presents Once across three weekends from April 25 through May 11, 2025. On the streets of Dublin, an Irish musician and a Czech immigrant are drawn together by their shared love of music. Over the course of one fateful week, an unexpected friendship and collaboration quickly evolves into a powerful but complicated love story.

The Ocean County Library Toms River Branch is pleased to host a live presentation by WREP – When Radio Entertained People on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. The event begins at 7:00pm.

Luna Stage presents "the ripple, the wave that carried me home". (WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Luna Stage presents "the ripple, the wave that carried me home" from May 1-25, 2025 on the MainStage. This is a story of racial justice, political legacy and family forgiveness by 2025 Steinberg Playwright Award winner and Tony nominee Christina Anderson.

Garden State New Play Festival to Take Place in Jersey City. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Jersey City Theater Center and The New Jersey Play Lab present the inaugural Garden State New Play Festival from May 1-4 and May 8-11, 2025 at White Eagle Hall and Five Corners Library Theatre. This groundbreaking festival offers a reimagined model for new play development—one rooted in community, advocacy, and artistic equity.

Studio Players presents a limited run of "The Laramie Project". (UPPER MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Studio Players presents a limited run of The Laramie Project by Moisés Kaufman and the Members of Tectonic. The production is directed by Thomas J. Donohue II and runs from May 1-4, 2025.

Burlington County Footlighters presents "Fiddler on the Roof". (CINNAMINSON, NJ) -- Burlington County Footlighters presents Fiddler on the Roof across three weekends from May 2-17, 2025. The classic musical is set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.

The Village Playbox presents "Man of La Mancha". (HADDON HEIGHTS, NJ) -- The Village Playbox presents Man of La Mancha weekends from May 2-17, 2025. This is one of the world's most popular musicals. Bergen County Players presents "A Little Night Music" by Stephen Sondheim. Youth Performers Take Flight in ShowKids Invitational Theatre's "Mary Poppins". (GLEN GARDNER, NJ) -- ShowKids Invitational Theatre (SKIT) brings the magic of Disney's "Mary Poppins" to the stage this May, featuring a double cast of talented young performers ages 7-18 at Voorhees High School in Glen Gardner. The production includes six performances between May 3-11, 2025 with special aerial effects allowing the iconic nanny to truly take flight.

Roy's Hall presents The Devil and Daisy Dirt - A Garden State Gothic Event. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Nimbus Dance presents Firebird & Other Sagas, a program of three works to be performed at the Nimbus Arts Center from May 1-3, 2025 at 8:00pm each night. The performances follow the March 2025 world premieres of Firebird and Dark Water in collaboration with New Jersey Symphony at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

Saturday, May 3 - Celebrate Jewish American Heritage Month with 'Bottle Dancers USA' at the Ocean County Library. (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- L'chaim! NJDTE will close its doors on June 1, 2025, after serving the New Jersey Community for 56 years.
