
(RIVERSIDE, NJ) -- Masquerade Theatre presents Once across three weekends from April 25 through May 11, 2025. On the streets of Dublin, an Irish musician and a Czech immigrant are drawn together by their shared love of music. Over the course of one fateful week, an unexpected friendship and collaboration quickly evolves into a powerful but complicated love story.
The play includes a Book by Enda Walsh; Music & Lyrics by Glen Hansard & Markéta Irglová.
The production is directed by Megan Knowlton Balne. The cast includes Courtney Bird (Girl), Ruben J. Cardona (Andrej), Kathleen Corvino (Ex-girlfriend / Reza), Trisha Dennis (Emcee/Baruska), Tommy Foy (Guy), Mark Gollihur (Mark), Sean McGarry (Da / Banker), David Nikolas (Svec), Abigail Balne (Ivonka), and Lilliian Balne (Ivonka).
Remaining performances take place Friday, May 2nd at 8:00pm; Saturday, May 3rd at 8:00pm; Sunday, May 4th at 2:00pm; Sunday, May 4th at 7:00pm; *Thursday, May 8th at 7:30pm; Friday, May 9th at 8:00pm; Saturday, May 10th at 8:00pm; and Sunday, May 11th at 2:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. Performances take place at their Riverside Studio space at 301 West Washington Street #100, Riverside, New Jersey.
Once is based on the 2007 film. The original Broadway production won 8 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and 4 Drama Desk Awards including Outstanding Musical. It also received the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Musical.
