5) "Hollywood Priest: The Story of Father 'Bud' Kieser" to Screen at Garden State Film Festival - (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Hollywood Priest: The Story of Father ‘Bud’ Kieser, a truly unique documentary film which details the extraordinary life, entertainment industry career and national influence of Father Edward “Bud” Kieser, a Catholic Clergyman and the Founder of Paulist Productions, will be a featured presentation, making its East Coast debut, during the upcoming Garden State Film Festival on March 26th at 3:45pm in Asbury Park at the Berkeley Hotel in the Kingsley Ballroom.

6) Newark to Host Annual Latin Festival on August 21st - (NEWARK, NJ) -- Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka, Deputy Mayor for Community Engagement Jacqueline Quiles, and the Office of Violence Prevention and Trauma Recovery will host the Annual Latin Festival on Sunday, August 21, from noon to 10:00pm., on Bloomfield Avenue between Lake Street and Clifton Avenue, in Newark's North Ward. The event is themed Newark Forward Minus Violence Equals Our Future.

7) Passaic County Fair takes place August 11-14 - (PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ) -- The Passaic County Board of County Commissioners, and Friends of Passaic County Parks, Inc. will be hosting the annual Passaic County Fair from August 11th-14th at Garret Mountain Reservation. The opening ceremony will be held on Thursday, August 11th at 7:30pm. 

8) What’s Filming In New Jersey: AMC’s The Walking Dead Spin-Off starring Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan - (NEWARK, NJ) -- AMC’s The Walking Dead franchise expands its universe to the Meadowlands Arena and North Jersey locations for its upcoming spin-off series starring Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. This is the fifth series in The Walking Dead franchise and will follow Maggie (Cohan) and Negan (Morgan) as they explore a postapocalyptic New York City. Eli Jorné, who writes and co-executive produces the original series, will serve as the showrunner, while Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer of The Walking Dead franchise, will oversee the series. Cohan and Morgan also serve as executive producers. The first six-episode season is expected to debut on AMC and AMC+ in 2023. 

9) PHOTOS from Disney's "The Little Mermaid" at Bellarine Theatre Company - (MANAHAWKIN, NJ) -- Following a three year “pandemic pause,” Bellarine Theatre Company is presenting Disney's The Little Mermaid with four performances from August 12-14 at the Stafford Township Arts Center. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories and the classic animated film, this is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages. 11) "Victorian Day and Illumination Night" in Ocean Grove - (OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- A colorful and cherished tradition,  the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association (OGCMA) will present Victorian Day and Illumination Night celebrating Ocean Grove’s Victorian and Methodist heritage, on Friday August 12 (from 8:00pm – 10:00pm) and Saturday, August 13 (from 12 Noon to 8:30pm).  Attendees are encouraged to dress up for this historic celebration.  Most events are free offering a fun-filled day and evening for the whole family.  

12) Essie’s Restaurant & Lounge Featuring Creole Cuisine and Live R&B and Jazz is now Open in Clementon - (CLEMENTON, NJ) -- In 2017, husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Mike and Chèrie Gillespie purchased a South Jersey building with the vision of opening an upscale restaurant and live music lounge. Shortly thereafter, a snowstorm caused the roof to completely cave in, delaying their plans. A global pandemic, a massive renovation, and two years later, the pair have finally opened Essie’s Restaurant & Lounge at 1 Garfield Avenue in Clementon, NJ across from Clementon Park & Splash World in Camden County.

13) Asbury Lanes presents The Commodores - (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Music icons and Motown legends, the Commodores, are coming to Asbury Park for a one-night-only show on Friday, September 2nd at Asbury Lanes. With 10 Grammy nominations, one Grammy Award and over 75 million albums sold worldwide, the Commodores are an American funk and soul band with hits including "Easy", "Three Times a Lady", and "Brick House".

15) Vineland hosts 5th Food Trucks on the Ave Festival - (VINELAND, NJ) -- Come hungry as the Food Trucks on The Ave festival returns to downtown Vineland for the fifth year on Sunday, August 21, rain or shine, from 11:00am to 7:00pm, at Landis Avenue and the Boulevard. It will feature over 20 food trucks, and a packed line-up of continuous entertainment and activities. Admission is free.
