WBGO "All That Jazz" concert series presents Alex Bugnon at Morris Museum

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- WBGO "All That Jazz" concert series announces the second leg of the three-part Morris Museum series. In addition to the shows in Union County, Smooth Jazz New Jersey, WBGO, and the Morris Museum presents an acoustic and electric performance by the internationally renowned keyboardist Alex Bugnon with his explosive quartet on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 7:30pm.




 

Vivid Stage Brings Pop-Up Theatre: Fiona's Café to Serra Doce in Summit

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage will bring a fresh format of theatre to the community on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Fiona's Café is a Pop-Up show that will happen at Serra Doce Coffee Shop in Summit for one night only. This unscripted story will be improvised by the Vivid company of actors while patrons are treated to sandwiches, desserts and beverages from Serra Doce.

Pity poor paper. It really wants to be glass. Ditto for canvas. It isn't glass, either, and it rankles at its own opacity. Sometimes it feels like the entire reason painters add brilliant pigment to panels is to help stiff surfaces achieve the peaceable qualities of a windowpane. Glass doesn't fight the light. It acquiesces to its demands for penetration. Glass lets the illumination in, and when it does, it amplifies its brilliant shine.

'Mary Shelley's Frankenstein' at NJ's Shakespeare Theatre is Intense with Superb Staging

Now running at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) is a stunning production of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. The play comes from author Mary Shelley's original 1818 book of Frankenstein. This version of the play is written by David Catlin. It plays now through November 16th at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre on the campus of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.
