(RED BANK, NJ) -- On Thursday, May 23, 2024, the Count Basie Center for the Arts presents Enjoy Every Sandwich: The Music of Warren Zevon. It's been 20 years since the world lost one of its most gifted, respected, and haunted musicians. Warren Zevon bravely battled a rare form of cancer, writing, recording, and performing his music, right up to the last day of his 'Dirty Life and Times'.

There are a thousand fascinating stories to tell about the Nutcracker, now and in the past, and this is one of them – that of Ethan Stiefel, artistic director of the American Repertory Ballet, when he was a kid.

(NETCONG, NJ) -- The Growing Stage: The Children's Theatre of New Jersey is presenting a holiday production of Ella Enchanted weekends until December 17, 2023 on Saturdays and Sundays. Written by Karen Zacarias with music by Deborah Wicks La Puma, Ella Enchanted is adapted from the book by Gail Carson Levine and introduces us to Ella of Frell, who is given the "gift" of obedience by Lucinda, her misguided Fairy Godmother. Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.



State Theatre New Jersey Presents The Hip Hop Nutcracker

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents The Hip Hop Nutcracker on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 8:00pm. This is Tchaikovsky's 130-year-old ballet reimagined as a holiday dance spectacle, will travel to STNJ this holiday season while celebrating the show’s 10th season. Tickets range from $39-$69.
