McCarter Theatre presents Mark Morris Dance Group

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- McCarter Theatre Center presents Mark Morris Dance Group on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 8:00pm in the Matthews Theater. Since its first performance in 1980, the Mark Morris Dance Group has received "highest praise for their technical aplomb, their musicality, and their sheer human authenticity" (Bloomberg News).

​​​​​​​On January 10, 2024, Max Roach, one of jazz's most remarkable figures, would have turned 100 years old. The observance of Roach's centennial has coincided with the recent release of the documentary Max Roach: The Drum Also Waltzes, which celebrates the drummer's life and music. While many remember Roach as the pioneering drummer connected to the bebop movement of the mid to late 1940s, a much more incredible story is associated with his mastery, creativity, conviction, and spirit.

Lizzie Rose Music Room presents CD Release Party for Chris O'Leary Band

(TUCKERTON, NJ ) -- Devastatingly soulful vocalist, dynamic harmonica master and superlative songwriter Chris O'Leary will celebrate the January 12 release of his Alligator Records debut album, The Hard Line, with a live performance at the Lizzie Rose Music Room in Tuckerton on Sunday, January 21, 2024. Showtime is 7:30pm.
