Enjoy a night of stand-up comedy at State Theatre New Jersey! About the Comedians

Vinnie Brand is stand-up comedian from Middletown, NJ. He is the owner of The Stress Factory Comedy Clubs located in New Brunswick, NJ and Fairfield County, CT.

Matt Lopes is the house comedian at the Stress Factory Comedy Club in Bridgeport, CT and the co-host of the You Should Be Worried podcast. He’s worked stages such as New York Comedy Club, Stress Factory NJ, Funny Bone Comedy Club, and has amassed over 250k followers across his socials (Tiktok: @maffyooo, Insta: @notmattlopes).

Brian Scolaro has appeared on ShamelessAbbott ElementaryNight CourtDexterMad MenLaw And Order: SVUBonesCastleGrey’s AnatomyThe MiddleMen Of A Certain AgeGirl Meets World, and has also had recurring roles as Brian on A Million Little Things, Uncle Bill on Ten Year Old Tom, Doug on Sullivan and Son, Sergio on Kroll Show, Goblin on Wizards Of Waverly Place, and many roles on Life and Times of Tim. He is widely known as Stuart, a regular cast member, on FOX’s Stacked and Gordon on NBC’s Three Sisters.

Scolaro has had three specials. His Dry Bar Special: Trouble, his Amazon special I Don’t Know Who I Am Either, and his half-hour Comedy Central special Comedy Central Presents: Brian Scolaro. He has also performed stand-up on ConanGotham Comedy LiveComics UnleashedThe Late Late Show With Craig FergusonLate Nite With Conan O’Brien, and many more.

Patty Rosborough is one of the top headlining comics in the country with her hard hitting, high-energy style of comedy. She got her start in New York City appearing with the improv troupe Future Schlock and in the Off-Broadway production of Gay Dracula, a campy romp where she bared it all. Her first stint on television was with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central’s Short Attention Span Theatre. She has been seen on Showtime, Comedy Central, and on the BBC’s The World Stands Up. She has also performed at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival and is the winner of NYC’s prestigious Charlie Award.

Rosborough plays a drunk in Adrien Lynne’s film, Jacob’s Ladder, an angry ex-wife with Kevin Meany on the webisode, "In the Middle" (Salon.com.) and a hard drinking, nightmare of a mother in Drew Chiminec’s comedy, Raising the Dead.

She is the winner of the Ladies of Laughter Comedy Competition and tours across the U.S. with her standup act. She is also a regular at the Borgata in Atlantic City and performs at New York city comedy clubs. Rosborough was most recently featured on the podcast Babes in Boyland interviewed by her daughter, Molly Kornfeld, and Victoria Hoffman.

EVENT PREVIEWS

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.

(BRADLEY BEACH, NJ) -- The Borough of Bradley Beach presents its Summer Jazz and Blues Series for 2026 throughout July and August. Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy a diverse lineup of world-class musical performances every Wednesday evening from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at beautiful Riley Park.
