Giancarlo Esposito

Tuesday, March 04, 2025 @ 4:30pm

Kean Stage - North Avenue Academic Building
1000 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ 07083

As comfortable on stage as he is behind a microphone, celebrated film, television and stage actor, director and producer Giancarlo Esposito shares his journey as an actor and an artist with perceptible passion and uncanny charm. He talks about his journey to becoming more than just a “working” actor, but a quality thespian, despite the standard industry hurdles many people of color face while trying to break into “the industry.” Esposito talks candidly about being bi- racial and learning to embrace his racial identity as an integral part of his acting identity. In a program that is both thought- provoking and inspiring, Esposito redefines success and encourages all to identify what they love to do, start there, and go places.

Esposito is well known by television audiences for his iconic portrayal of drug kingpin Gustavo “Gus” Fring in AMC’s critically acclaimed award-winning series Breaking Bad , for which he won the 2012 Critics Choice Award and earned a 2012 Emmy® nomination. He reprised his role in AMC’s critically acclaimed prequel Better Call Saul , which was nominated for an Emmy® Award in the category of Outstanding Drama Series, and completed its run in 2022.
