Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC)
100 South Street, Morristown, NJ 07960

Keith Alessi shares his exceptional true story of leaving the corporate world behind to follow his true passion—playing the banjo! When faced with a cancer battle, his lifelong dream becomes the key to saving his life. Told through authentic storytelling, heartfelt humour and music, this highly awarded, internationally toured show is an uplifting story of challenge, triumph, and the power of positivity. This intimate evening is one sure to leave you feeling empowered, inspired, and ready to dust off your own long forgotten dreams.

Tomatoes Tried to Kill Me But Banjos Saved My Life isn’t just a show, it’s a cause.  A heartfelt passion project that began as a nudge after Keith Alessi’s life took a major turn, it has been his mission to raise money for causes close to his heart. Through donations, including 100% of all artist fees, the show has raised over $615,000 (USD) as of September 2023 for various cancer, community, music and theatre charities.

Bergen County Players presents "You Make My Frame Shake!" by Luigi Jannuzzi

(ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players (BCP) concludes its 2023-2024 second stage season with a limited run of New Jersey Playwright Luigi Jannuzzi's comedy You Make My Frame Shake! from May 31 through June 2, 2024. Multiple romances come to life at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art in this play, a fast-paced series of comedic love plays and monologues in which statues, paintings, and fertility gods emerge from their molds and frames.
