Blues People is a New York/New Jersey band featuring Kelton Cooper on guitar, Mike Griot on bass, Ron Thompson on keyboard, and Gene Lake on drums.

The group released two promotional singles in 2022—“The Skin I’m In” and “Troubled Times”—and is excitedly working on their much anticipated 2023 debut album Troubled Times.

Don’t miss this talented group of NJ and SOMA locals as they show off their magnificent Blues riffs at South Orange Summer Nights!

About South Orange Summer Nights

Flood’s Hill in Meadowland Park is the place to be each Wednesday night all summer long.  Beginning in June, enjoy programming on the summer stage.  As the evenings get longer in July, music presented by the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) takes center stage, complete with free concerts, food trucks, arts activities, and games for the kids.  August brings the popular movies on the lawn.

There is something for everyone all summer long!
