Sean Jones is one of our leading young trumpeters, with eight recordings on the Mack Avenue record label, and memberships with the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Gerald Wilson Orchestra, and the SF Jazz Collective. He has recorded with Nancy Wilson, Steve Turre, and saxophonists Ron Blake and Tia Fuller. He is also making a major mark in jazz education, as the current president of the Jazz Education Network, just named to an endowed faculty chair in the Johns Hopkins University’s Peabody Conservatory Jazz Program, and has taught previously at Berklee, Oberlin Conservatory, and Duquesne University. He was a masters student of the late legendary Bill Fielder at Rutgers University.
