“A silvery-voiced” singer (Opera Magazine), Soprano Dr. Sungji Kim has brought various acclaim from critics with her exquisite musicality and attractive presence with “her incisive and bright voice” (New York Times). With numerous performances in Asia, Canada, Europe, Russia , and throughout the United States in the venues of Carnegie Hall as well as Lincoln Center, Dr. Kim has also appeared in interviews and live on air performances on WWFM, WRTI, and Jersey Arts.
She earned her Doctoral Degree of Musical Arts at Rutgers University, Professional Studies Diploma at the Manhattan School of Music as the recipient of the President President’s Scholarship, master’s degree at the Curtis Institute of Music , and bachelor’s degree cum laude at Seoul National University honored with a full scholarship. Currently she is a faculty member at Ocean County College, New Jersey
