Central Jersey Artist Mingle to Take Place on October 25th

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- A Central Jersey Artist Mingle will take place on Wednesday, October 25 at 5:30pm in New Brunswick, hosted by coLAB Arts, George Street Playhouse, and New Jersey Economic Development Authority. It's an opportunity to meet, network, and socialize with other artists and arts administrators from the community. Artists of all disciplines and professional levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served, so please don't feel rushed to grab a meal before you come! Artist speed networking will accompany presentations from the host organizations, with information on resources and opportunities for Central Jersey artists.

Her explosive songs sound like spiked mixtures of old-school melodies and riffs coupled with modern-day slices of alt-rock coolness and psychedelic sonic swirls. Her musical passion is lit from the inside out.



Spring Lake Theatre presents "A Chorus Line"

(SPRING LAKE, NJ) -- "Step, kick, kick, and leap your way to Spring Lake Theatre for A Chorus Line, opening on Friday, October 13, and running for three weekends until October 28, 2023. With just 90 minutes of runtime and no intermission, it's the perfect way to spend a chilly fall evening or a windy afternoon!

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Fall brings us vibrant colors, the sounds of children playing at school and park playgrounds, outdoor fields offer lively sport games, and a cool breeze allows us to bring out cozy warm sweaters. This fall, Ficus Art Gallery presents Playful Medley, an exhibit that allows us to take those playful feelings of autumn through a colorful and spirited art show featuring artists, Catherine Martzloff, David Orban, and Leyla Spencer. The exhibit is on display until January 8, 2024.








Exit 82 Theatre Company presents "Night of the Living Dead: The Musical!"

This is a sidesplitting rock n' roll comedy sendup of the legendary 1968 zombie film. Facing a growing mob of strange, bloodthirsty creatures, three couples seek refuge in an abandoned house...but will they survive the night?



Axelrod Performing Arts Academy presents "Freaky Friday"

(DEAL PARK, NJ) -- A family favorite story based on the celebrated Disney film and the book by Mary Rodgers, a new musical version of Freaky Friday hits the stage at Axelrod Performing Arts Center for four shows only, October 27-29. Freaky Friday is presented by the Axelrod Performing Arts Academy, winner of the Perry Award for outstanding achievement in New Jersey community theater for its 2022 production of The Addams Family.

(WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- West Windsor Arts, in partnership with the Historical Society of West Windsor, is presenting its annual celebration of the anniversary of the "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 2:00pm. This year’s event will be held at the historic Schenck Farmstead (50 Southfield Road in West Windsor), just down the road from the site of the 1938 fictitious alien landing.



Montclair Film Festival to Present Three New Films at Basie Center Cinemas

(RED BANK, NJ) -- For the first time ever, the Montclair Film Festival will extend its reach into central New Jersey with the presentation of three new films at Red Bank's Basie Center Cinemas. The films are A Little Prayer, They Shot The Piano Player, and The Teachers' Lounge. The screenings will take place on October 25-26, 2023.

NJPAC presents a Spring Season of Jazz

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents a Spring Season of Jazz with free monthly jazz jams at Clement's Place and two special concert events inside the Victoria Theater. This series, running from September through June, is co-presented by NJPAC's Jazz Advisory Committee and Rutgers University–Newark's Institute of Jazz Studies (IJS). PBS' Independent Lens Launches 20th Season of Free Pop-Up Screening Series in Teaneck and Nationwide

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The award-winning PBS documentary series, INDEPENDENT LENS, presents the launch of the upcoming season of Indie Lens Pop-Up in partnership with the Teaneck International Film Festival and the Puffin Cultural Forum. The season kicks-off on February 4, 2026 with The Librarians and continues through May. The series is free for all but sign up is required.

State Theatre New Jersey presents The Sound Studio Series 2026

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey proudly presents The Sound Studio Series, an immersive musical experience that places concertgoers at the very heart of the performance. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Morven Museum & Garden's popular speaker series Grand Homes & Gardens returns for 2026. Coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Freedom at Home: Telling the Full Story of America's Founding Homes and Gardens examines four estates belonging to five signers of the Declaration: William Paca, Richard Henry Lee, Francis Lightfoot Lee, Thomas Jefferson, and Arthur Middleton.

Faith and Frosting Collide in "The Cake" at Bergen County Players

(ORADELL, NJ) -- Enjoy a touching and topical dramedy as love clashes with conscience in Bergen County Players' (BCP) production of The Cake. The play, written by Bekah Brunstetter, producer/writer for the hit TV series This Is Us, is directed by Carol Fisher of Teaneck. It opens March 14 and runs through April 11, 2026 at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell.
