(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Get set for an event that needs to be seen to be believed!  Rock and roll legends Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly return to the stage – live – through state of the art hologram technology!  Roy Orbison & Buddy Holly – The Rock n’ Roll Dream Tour comes to Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) for two shows, Saturday, February 12 at 3:00pm and 7:00pm. Tickets range from $29-$59.



New Hope Arts Center To Celebrate 20th Anniversary With Expanded Programming

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Troubled by COVID in 2021, Hopes to Roar Back In 2022

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey was hammered by COVID at the end of the 2021 season and forced to cancel the last few performances of its holiday hit, A Child’s Christmas in Wales. Bloodied but not beaten, the regional theater will roar back in 2022 with a full schedule of indoor and outdoor productions, starting June 8 with Enchanted April.








“A Mile Square of Music: 1960 to 1970” To Have Livestream Premiere On January 30th

(HOBOKEN, NJ) -- A livestream premiere of the documentary “A Mile Square of Music: 1960 to 1970” will take place on Sunday, January 30 at 5:00pm. This virtual screening is presented by Mayor Ravi Bhalla, the City of Hoboken and the Hoboken Historical Museum.

New Jersey Stage published its 25,000th story in December 2021. As the site approached the milestone, we posed the question on social media as how we should celebrate.  One response was to highlight our favorite stories from over the years.  We liked this idea, but could not narrow things down to just 25 favorites so we will present a favorite each day from different genres. Every Monday we feature one of our favorite stories in music. This week's choice is Bob Makin's deep dive interview with The Smithereens in 2019.

Sculpture for Leonia Installs Exciting New Art Around Town

(LEONIA, NJ) -- Throughout the year, Sculpture for Leonia delighted the public with new thought-provoking and whimsical outdoor art installations. Highlights included two pieces by renowned artist William King and a large installation of individual works by seven artists.



Monmouth County partners with Vault Health and Brookdale Community College to provide State-funded COVID-19 testing site

(LINCROFT, NJ) -- The Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners held a joint press conference with Vault Health and Brookdale Community College on January 24, 2022 to announce their partnership to provide a COVID-19 testing site at Brookdale Community College’s Robert J. Collins Arena, which is being funded by the New Jersey Department of Health.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
