(NEW HOPE, PA) -- New Hope Arts (NHA), located in the heart of the historically-artistic, riverside community of New Hope, enters 2022 with much to celebrate, including their past two decades of arts & cultural success, featuring over 8,500 works by visual artists through over 150 exhibitions. Kicking off this remarkable 20th anniversary year, NHA will further celebrate through new, expansive programming of collaborative performance art, including live music, theatrical presentations, and poetry, all to complement their existing array of annual programming.

Additionally, New Hope Arts looks forward to taking the iconic center to the "next level" with their much-anticipated installation of an elevator, made possible by a Community and Economic Development grant from the State of Pennsylvania.  This new addition will enable the non-profit arts organization to improve ease of facility access in its ongoing effort to serve the arts community.

Executive Director of NHA Carol Cruickshanks states: "Realizing our twentieth anniversary is truly something to be proud of, starting with how founder Robin Larsen conceived NHA in 2002, as she knew an extraordinary place needed to be born. She took on the great responsibility of offering a dynamic exhibition, gathering and programming space for the deeply artistic voice this community holds and attracts. Robin understood the importance, reinstating New Hope as a top national arts destination. We're delighted to say how proud we are as an arts organization to have realized this vision through the vibrant array of the major exhibitions we offer here at NHA, ranging from sculpture, wood, painting, photography, fine artisan crafts, and new media installations. We've featured over 8,500 artworks by visual artists throughout the community and nation and always encourage emerging artists to get involved, to expand their exposure and professional growth."

With the excitement and anticipation of the twentieth anniversary, NHA's dedicated board and volunteers enthusiastically reached out to the community and NHA supporters at large, seeking what they would like to see from the ever-growing arts center. Bill Scandone, President of the Board, states: "We were surprised by our discoveries, and felt privileged to receive the timely and detailed responses we did; and with this, NHA is thrilled to announce that we are working hard to launch and fulfill their requests for NHA to now additionally include performance and literary arts, which will be the perfect complement our programming calendar that so many have come to rely on and enjoy. Furthermore, the elevator installation will aid in making our center even more welcoming while providing ease of access; this is an improvement we are truly looking forward to offering in the near future."

January starts the annual Membership Drive for NHA, with individual memberships reasonably priced at only $30.00. NHA is engaged with other various arts and cultural institutions, including Artsbridge, New Hope Art League, New Hope Film Festival, Bucks County Playhouse, New Hope Historical Society, Echo Lake Conference, Bucks County Community College, Riverside Symphonia, Phillips Mill Foundation, and the Pennsylvania Center for Photography. An artist membership with NHA offers eligibility to juried shows, discounted show application fees, individual artist website links, insider NHA news; other memberships available include family, contributor and supporter. New Hope Arts (NHA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to furthering New Hope's heritage as a thriving nucleus for various mediums of art and artists. NHA serves an integral role in showcasing contemporary artists' work within New Hope and Lambertville and throughout the Delaware Valley. New Hope Arts supports artists by fostering opportunities, providing space to create, collaborate, and present while offering residents and visitors access to a vibrant array of visual, performing, and literary arts. NHA further provides a welcoming forum to emerging artists who would otherwise not have access to a professional exhibition setting while introducing new audiences to their work.  Annually, NHA organizes up to eight significant exhibitions, including sculpture, wood, painting, photography, fine artisan crafts, and new media installations. It is individual donors, Board Members and foundations, and community members who provide the support necessary to offer such programs and events. Recognition of NHA's service to the arts includes funding from The PNC Foundation Arts Alive program, the Community and Economic Development Grant from the State of PA, and The Bucks County Visitors Bureau. With custodian and Executive Director Carol Cruickshanks in place and at the helm, all this keeps once founder Robin Larsen's vision alive, ever-evolving, and ever-elevating since her NHA conception in 2002.
