New Jersey's Horror Film History Grows With "The Home" Starring Pete Davidson

(DENVILLE, NJ) -- The shuttered Saint Francis Residential Community in Denville will have a starring role, along with Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson, in the Miramax horror thriller The Home, just wrapping in New Jersey. The Home is a story about a troubled man who starts working at a retirement facility and realizes that its residents and caretakers harbor sinister secrets. As he investigates the building and its forbidden fourth floor, he starts to uncover connections to his own past and upbringing as a foster child. 



Lewis Center for the Arts presents "Horsemanship" - a new musical-in-progress

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Lewis Center for the Arts at Princeton University presents Horsemanship, a new musical-in-progress about being transgender and searching for the kind of person you want to be...and horses. The musical was conceived by Princeton Arts Fellow Will Davis and created by Will Davis and Truth Future Bachman. Performances will be on Friday, April 8 and Saturday, April 9 at 8:00pm and Sunday, April 10 at 2:00pm in the Wallace Theater at the Lewis Arts complex on the Princeton campus.

ArtsBergen Calls Upon the Arts Community to Rally for 5% for the Arts in Bergen County

(BERGEN COUNTY, NJ) -- The local arts community and supporters of the arts are asked to rally for five percent for the arts in Bergen County., New Jersey.  Join the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation's ArtsBergen, ArtPride New Jersey and a myriad of arts organizations, artists and creatives to advocate a 5% allocation of Bergen County’s $261 million American Rescue Plan (ARP) funding for the arts.



Centenary University hosts Thomas Edison Film Festival Screenings on Wednesday

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) --  Centenary University will be hosting a free screening for the 41st Annual Thomas Edison Film Festival on Wednesday, April 6 at 6:30 pm in the Kutz Black Box Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center located on the campus of Centenary University at 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ. The Thomas Edison Film Festival is made possible by the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Division of Land Preservation andis free to attend. Seating is limited and on a first-come-first-served basis.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
