New Jersey Symphony presents works by Jessie Montgomery, Mozart, Strauss

(NEWARK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Symphony will perform Jessie Montgomery’s Rounds for piano and string orchestra, composed earlier this year in collaboration with and commissioned for pianist Awadagin Pratt, November 17–20. George Manahan conducts the program, which also features Mozart’s Symphony No. 38,“Prague” and Strauss’ Suite from Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme. George Manahan was the Interim Music Director for the New Jersey Symphony from 1983 to 1985. He returns to conduct for the New Jersey Symphony’s centennial season.



Central Jersey Arts Council Celebrates 'The Nutcracker’' with winter holiday exhibit featuring resident's collection

(CARTERET, NJ) -- Central Jersey Arts Council will feature a Winter Exhibit of more than 240 unique and individually hand-painted Nutcrackers. The Winter Exhibit will be up from Thanksgiving weekend through December.

Jersey Jazz Live! Martin Pizzarelli Playing His Father's Arrangements of Duke, Benny, and Gershwin

(MADISON, NJ) -- Thirty years ago, bassist Martin Pizzarelli and pianist Bob Albanese played together at The Rainbow Room in New York. On Sunday afternoon, November 20, they will reunite at the Madison (NJ) Community Arts Center, joined by saxophonist/clarinetist Linus Wyrsch. The trio, in Pizzarelli’s words, will “entertain the audience with a variety of songs from Duke (Ellington) to Benny (Goodman) to (George) Gershwin – all infused with my dad, Bucky Pizzarelli’s arrangements.” The event is the next Jersey Jazz Live! concert presented by the New Jersey Jazz Society at 3:00pm.

(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre is presenting the Holiday classic, A Christmas Story, The Musical weekends until November 20th. Set in the 1940s in the fictional town of Hohman, Indiana, the musical follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts—an Official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. Boney James comes to Sony Hall

He's touring in support of Detour (released September 23 on Concord Records) - his 18th studio album. Appropriately titled, this latest album is a subtle stylistic turn that builds on the commercial success of 2020’s Solid, his highest charting release ever on the pop charts, peaking in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200.



Brook Arts Center presents "The Polar Express"

NJPAC presents a Spring Season of Jazz

PBS' Independent Lens Launches 20th Season of Free Pop-Up Screening Series in Teaneck and Nationwide

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The award-winning PBS documentary series, INDEPENDENT LENS, presents the launch of the upcoming season of Indie Lens Pop-Up in partnership with the Teaneck International Film Festival and the Puffin Cultural Forum. The season kicks-off on February 4, 2026 with The Librarians and continues through May. The series is free for all but sign up is required.

State Theatre New Jersey presents The Sound Studio Series 2026
