The Maplewood Strollers Present: A 90th Anniversary Celebration in Words and Music (MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- On Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 8:00pm, join the Maplewood Strollers for a revue of scenes and songs from theater classics to celebrate The Strollers 90th anniversary! The event takes place at the Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts and is followed by a dance party.
PHOTOS from "Avenue Q" at Axelrod PAC (OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Axelrod Performing Arts Center (APAC) is presenting Avenue Q, the laugh-out-loud musical that features grown-up puppets. This play tells the timeless story of a bright-eyed college grad named Princeton. When he arrives in the city with big dreams and a tiny bank account, he has to move into a shabby apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. The show runs through November 20. Passage Theatre Company presents "A Christmas Carol" (TRENTON, NJ) -- What's scarier than being visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve? Trying to put up a production of A Christmas Carol featuring only two actors! Utilizing theatrical storytelling (and a whole lot of props and puppets), you'll be drawn into another world as you experience this lively and heartwarming adaptation of Dickens' classic tale. Back by popular demand, Passage Theatre Company in Trenton, New Jersey is bringing back the two-person version of the holiday classic, with more rehearsal time, more elements of design, and even more laughter! The show comes to the Mill Hill Playhouse (205 E. Front Street, Trenton) from December 9 through December 11, 2022.

Rowan University Art Gallery presents "Multiplicities" (GLASSBORO, NJ) -- Rowan University Art Gallery presents Multiplicities, a dynamic new group exhibition featuring Naomieh Jovin, Tommy Kha, Wendy Red Star, and Leonard Suryajaya. 'Escape from Reality:' Mixed Media Collages at Plainsboro Library Art Gallery (PLAINSBORO, NJ) -- Artist Nancie Gunkelman describes the work she did during the pandemic as “bingeing on collage.” Starting November 5, the gallery at Plainsboro Public Library will exhibit 13 of her colorful mixed media collages in a show called “Escape from Reality.” The exhibition will run through December 24.

Princeton Makes and Ragged Sky Press Second Sunday Poetry Reading on November 13th (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Makes, a Princeton-based artist cooperative, and Ragged Sky Press, a local publisher focused on poetry, will host a Second Sunday Poetry Reading on Sunday, November 13 at 4:00pm. The readings will take place at the Princeton Makes store in the Princeton Shopping Center.The reading will feature Luray Gross and Bruce Lowry. Their readings will be followed by an open mic available to up to 10 audience members who would like to read their original poetry.
