A new era begins on Saturday, November 19th, no matter how chilly it gets, for the New Jersey Ballet, the state’s long standing ballet troupe. It will become the resident ballet company of the Mayo Performing Arts center in Morristown, one of the state’s premier theaters.

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College’s Arts & Design department will present a holiday performance by the George W. Michael Jazz Quartet, Saturday, December 10 at 6:00pm. The Quartet features musicians George W. Michael, saxophones; Matthew Valerio, piano and vocals; Jesse Breheney, bass; and Tobias Gebb, drums. The event, part of the 2022-2023 season of the MOZAIKA Concert Series, will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus.

(MAHWAH, NJ) -- TONEWALL, the charismatic queer a cappella group part of the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, will perform “Standing Room Only” at the Berrie Center for the Arts at Ramapo College on Thursday, December 1 at 8:00pm for a concert full of songs from well-known artists, such as Lizzo, Queen, and Miley Cyrus, and queer icons, like Betty Who, Emeli Sandé, and Alex Newell. The concert is not only a night full of fun, catchy tunes but is also a call to action to audiences to stand with the LGBTQ+ community as a member or ally. Audiences are invited to a meet ‘n’ greet with the group following the show.
(NEWTON, NJ) -- Skylands Performing Arts Center (Sky PAC), operating in the historic Newton Theatre, announced it has been awarded $98,500, towards its roof restoration. The reward is made possible by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts. Sky PAC, a 501(c) 3 organization, is seeking an additional $22,000 to cover the full amount needed to repair damaged ceilings and walls.
(ORADELL, NJ) -- This year, Ballet Arts' annual performance of "The Nutcracker" comes with an early holiday gift – live orchestral music. Ballet Arts, a premiere dance school serving the New York and New Jersey area, is partnering with Adelphi Orchestra for its first-ever ballet with concert musicians.
