Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company to Take Part In Dance on the Lawn

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will be a part of Dance on the Lawn on September 9, 2023 at 3:00pm, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church (73 S. Fullerton Ave) in Montclair. The Company will be performing one of Nai-Ni Chen's most beautiful duet, created in collaboration with the world renowned Ahn Trio, Lullaby for my Favorite Insomniac, part of their 2015 production, Temptation of the Muses, which toured 7 states across America. The dance will be performed by company members: Esteban Santamaria and Rio Kikuchi. Dance on the Lawn is free.

Fans of power trios, such as Husker Du, Nirvana and Green Day will love the local supergroup The Make Three's debut album, "You, Me & The Make Three," on Mint 400 Records. The 10 songs mainly were written by singer-songwriter-guitarist Jerry Lardieri while crafting a Mint 400 album for his main band, The Brixton Riot. But he had enough great tunes left over to make the gritty but gorgeous "You, Me & The Three" with The Anderson Council pals Peter Horvath on bass and vocals and the band's former drummer Chris Ryan.

American Idol finalist Wé Ani to Open for Monica at NJPAC

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) is excited to announce that New Jersey's own Wé Ani, who became this year's season American Idol finalist, will perform her new single, "Mr. Montgomery" along with belting out other popular songs on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 7:00pm in Prudential Hall opening up for R&B songstress, Monica.



Blue Note Groove Cruise presents Boney James with special guest Lindsey Webster

(NEW YORK, NY) -- The Blue Note Groove Cruise presents four time Grammy Nominee Boney James with special guest Lindsey Webster on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 7:30pm. The cruise sails from Pier 40 (Westside Hwy. and Houston Street) in New York, NY. Boarding is at 6:30pm; the cruise departs at 7:30pm. There is a buffet and cash bar available on board.



Jersey City's Classical Theatre Company to Re-Launch as The Curtain with "Romeo & Juliet"

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Shakespeare@, Jersey City's premier classical theatre, announced they will re-launch as The Curtain, with an all-new production of William Shakespeare's classic Romeo & Juliet. Directed and Adapted by Sean Hagerty, The Curtain's Romeo & Juliet will play the Nimbus Arts Center (329 Warren Street), in downtown Jersey City just steps from the PATH train, with performances from September 28 through October 22, 2023.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
