Jersey City's Classical Theatre Company to Re-Launch as The Curtain with "Romeo & Juliet"
 

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Shakespeareat, Jersey City's premier classical theatre, announced they will re-launch as The Curtain, with an all-new production of William Shakespeare's classic Romeo & Juliet. Directed and Adapted by Sean Hagerty, The Curtain's Romeo & Juliet will play the Nimbus Arts Center (329 Warren Street), in downtown Jersey City just steps from the PATH train, with performances from September 28 through October 22, 2023.

 



Clinton Hill Community Action and South Ward ArtsXChange present A Night at the Theater
 

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Clinton Hill Community Action (CHCA) and South Ward ArtsXChange proudly present A Night at the Theater on Thursday, August 24 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Mildred Helms Park, entrances on Hedden Terrace and Seymour Avenue. Get ready for a magical evening with Yendor Theater Company presents Eternal City, a play by Pia Wilson. Wilson, a Newark native, is bringing her talents home once again. She previously wrote the play Down Neck to help celebrate Newark's 350th anniversary. That play was directed by the late Rodney Gilbert, who was also the founding artistic director of the Yendor Theater Company.

 



Vineyard Theatre Announces 2023-24 Season
 

(NEW YORK, NY) -- Vineyard Theatre Artistic Directors Sarah Stern and Douglas Aibel are pleased to announce the company's upcoming 41st Season which will include two full productions. The season will begin with the world premiere of Scene Partners by John J. Caswell Jr. (Wet Brain), Vineyard Theatre's 2020-21 Paula Vogel Playwriting Award winner, directed by Tony Award winner Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown), starring two-time Academy Award winner Dianne Wiest (Bullets Over Broadway, Happy Days) and the New York City premiere of Russian Troll Farm: A Workplace Comedy by Sarah Gancher (Hundred Days, Richard Rodgers Award), directed by Tony Award winner Darko Tresnjak (A Gentleman's Guide To Love And Murder). Both productions will open at Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street).

 



The Black Box to present Sam Shepard plays, including U.S. Premiere of "Little Ocean"
 

(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Black Box - NJ's incubator for new and under-produced works by world-class artists - is proud to present Sam Shepard's groundbreaking plays Action, The Unseen Hand, and the U.S. premiere of the unpublished Little Ocean, running from September 21 through October 8. American Idol finalist Wé Ani to Open for Monica at NJPAC
 

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) is excited to announce that New Jersey's own Wé Ani, who became this year's season American Idol finalist, will perform her new single, "Mr. Montgomery" along with belting out other popular songs on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 7:00pm in Prudential Hall opening up for R&B songstress, Monica.

(NEW YORK, NY) -- The Blue Note Groove Cruise presents four time Grammy Nominee Boney James with special guest Lindsey Webster on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 7:30pm. Veterans to save 30% on Mondays at Middlesex County golf courses starting September 1st
 

(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ) -- Beginning September 1, 2023, veterans will receive a 30% discount at all three Middlesex County golf courses every Monday, in recognition of their service and sacrifice to the nation. Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners Director Ronald G. Rios announced the discount during the Board’s August 17 meeting.
