"Seussical the Musical" Enters Final Week at Centenary Stage Company

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company’s production of Seussical the Musical continues this week from Wednesday, August 2 through Sunday, August 6, 2023. This marks the final weekend of the production, which is the last in the lineup of Summerfest 2023 for CSC. Performances take place in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center of the Centenary University campus at 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ.



Local Arts Leaders Honored at 14th Annual Excellence in Cultural Access Awards

(HAMILTON, NJ) -- New Jersey Theatre Alliance and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts congratulate the 2023 Cultural Access Award recipients that were announced and presented at the 14th Annual Excellence in Cultural Access Awards on June 15, 2023. bergenPAC presents Molly Hatchet

** This concert has been cancelled ** (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) presents Molly Hatchet on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 8:00pm. The band firmly cemented their place in music history in the late seventies. They stood alongside other iconic Southern rock bands out of Jacksonville, Florida, such as Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers. A perfect mixture of English invasion rock, blues, country, and gospel remains the unique sound of Molly Hatchet.



Surflight Theatre presents "Me, Myself and Barbra"

(LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ) -- Jenna Pastuszek and Joshua Zecher-Ross bring Me, Myself & Barbra: The Music that Made Barbara Barbra, to The Surflight Theatre on Long Beach Island for two shows on Monday, August 14th. Joined by Maestra's Yuka Tadano on bass and Meghan Doyle on drums. Performances take place 5:00pm and 8:00pm.



Nat Adderley, Jr. Quartet to Perform at NBPAC on Friday

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The New Brunswick Jazz Project and New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC) present Grammy-nominated Nat Adderley, Jr. Quartet on Friday, August 4, 2023 at NBPAC. Nat is an American pop, rhythm, and blues music arranger and pianist who spent much of his music career arranging as music director for Luther Vandross tours and contributed as co-songwriter on most of Vandross's albums. Showtime is 7:00pm.



Vivid Stage announces 2023-24 Season

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage has announced their 2023-24 season. The company will present three Mainstage productions, three Flip Side Improv Shows, a series of Meet The Artist: New Play Readings in May, and a month of the Summer Solos Reading Series in July. The season kicks off in October with a production of Grief at High Tide by Richard Willett.

NJPAC presents a Spring Season of Jazz

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents a Spring Season of Jazz with free monthly jazz jams at Clement's Place and two special concert events inside the Victoria Theater. This series, running from September through June, is co-presented by NJPAC's Jazz Advisory Committee and Rutgers University–Newark's Institute of Jazz Studies (IJS). Immerse yourself in the relaxing sounds of jazz music that stimulate the players’ and listeners' minds.

PBS' Independent Lens Launches 20th Season of Free Pop-Up Screening Series in Teaneck and Nationwide

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The award-winning PBS documentary series, INDEPENDENT LENS, presents the launch of the upcoming season of Indie Lens Pop-Up in partnership with the Teaneck International Film Festival and the Puffin Cultural Forum. The season kicks-off on February 4, 2026 with The Librarians and continues through May. The series is free for all but sign up is required.

State Theatre New Jersey presents The Sound Studio Series 2026

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey proudly presents The Sound Studio Series, an immersive musical experience that places concertgoers at the very heart of the performance. Held in STNJ's intimate Studio space, limited to just 80 attendees, The Sound Studio Series features a dynamic mix of both classical and rock performances. Each concert concludes with an exclusive post-show meet-and-greet with the artists, offering fans a rare opportunity to connect directly with the performers. Tickets for the series are $20-$30.

Megan Thee Stallion to make her Broadway debut in "Moulin Rouge! The Musical"

The Musical have announced that three-time Grammy Award-winning superstar and actress Megan Thee Stallion will make her Broadway debut in the production as "Zidler", impresario of the titular nightclub. Taking the stage for a strictly limited 8-week engagement, Megan will light up the Al Hirshfeld Theatre from Tuesday, March 24th to Sunday, May 17, 2026, promising an unmissable, moment in the show's legendary run.

(MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse presents 1776, the Tony Award-winning musical, from April 1 through May 2, 2026. It brings the story behind the creation of the Declaration of Independence to the stage with witty satire, compelling drama, and a thrilling score. With music and lyrics by Sherman Edwards and book by Peter Stone, 1776 follows John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and their fellow delegates as they navigate fiery debates, political tensions, and personal conflicts in their struggle to unite thirteen colonies.
