Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company Presents A Free Virtual Series: "Visions from the Bridge"

(FORT LEE, NJ) -- The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company, with an aim to bring respect and diversity to dance through its regular online offerings, is extending their program to include a curated video series presentation, Visions From the Bridge. Visions aims to bring together master dancers, choreographers, and directors to meet audiences worldwide online and share their creative and artistic journey in the context of their work.  Visions will feature film/video of master teachers and choreographers of color whose practices are embedded in the community and are focused on advancing the art of dance that transforms the personal, environmental and metaphysical spaces.

In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company has established a new dance institute through Zoom, The Bridge.  The Institute's aim is to bring together dancers, choreographers and directors around the world to experience the master teachers of color whose practices are embedded in the community and are focused on advancing the art of dance that transform the personal, environmental and metaphysical spaces. 



~mignolo dance~ Sets Up Kickstarter Campaign To Raise Funds For 2021-22 Season

(METUCHEN, NJ) -- ~mignolo dance~ has set up a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for their 2021-22 season. They are looking to raise $5,000. The project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Tuesday, December 15 at midnight.  



Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company Announces Artists For "The Bridge" November 16-20

(NEW YORK, NY) -- In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company has established a new dance institute through Zoom, The Bridge.  The Institute's aim is to bring together dancers, choreographers and directors around the world to experience the master teachers of color whose practices are embedded in the community and are focused on advancing the art of dance that transform the personal, environmental and metaphysical spaces.  Interested dancers can join the class by registering on Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company's website.



American Repertory Ballet Names Ethan Stiefel New Artistic Director

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) --After an extensive search, American Repertory Ballet (ARB) has announced that Ethan Stiefel will become its new Artistic Director beginning July 2021. 



“The Art of Window Dressing” To Take Place On December 4th

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- A cross between Soul Train and TikTok, Dance On Philly is a live on-air dance party for all ages. The six hour dance extravaganza will be hosted by Philadelphia’s own beloved singer, Lauren Hart, with music mixmaster, DJ Cosmo Baker, spinning the tunes on Saturday, November 14 from 6:00pm to midnight.



Centenary Stage Company's Front Porch Series Continues With Outside The Lines

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- The Centenary Stage Company Front Porch Series will continue this fall with a free dance event featuring works choreographed by various professional dance artists and Centenary University Students.   The dance event, Outsides the Lines, is a new site specific dance series conceived by Maureen Glennon Clayton, Adjunct Dance Professor Centenary University and Artistic Director of Moe-tion Dance Theater  and Lea Antolini-Lid , Associate Professor of Theater and Dance Centenary University  and Education Director of CSC . The outdoor Dance series will premiere on October 18 at 2:00pm on the front lawn of Centenary University in Hackettstown.
