Wednesday, September 3 - Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music presents Born to Run - A Jersey Shore Celebration Concert. Premiere Stages presents the NJ Premiere of "Walden" by Amy Berryman. Fall 2025 New Jersey Film Festival Preview. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Film Festival returns to Rutgers University September 5 through October 10, 2025. As it has done the last few years, the festival will include select in-person screenings with all films available via video on-demand (VOD) as well. There are also a few screenings available only via VOD. Twenty films will have their New Jersey or Area Premiere (Middlesex County).

Sunday, September 7 - UCPAC to Rename Classic Film Series for I. Joseph Hyatt. (RAHWAY, NJ) -- Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) will honor the legacy of lifelong Board Member, author, historian, and film enthusiast I. Joseph "Irv" Hyatt with the renaming of its beloved classic film series on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Following remarks and a presentation, there will be a screening of "Sons of the Desert". Friday, September 5 - Jersey City Latin Jazz Festival takes place September 5-6. Saturday, September 6 - Borough of Westwood and Bergen County Players present 'Carole King Wannabe Karaoke Night in the Park'. (WESTWOOD, NJ) -- In celebration of the upcoming 55th anniversary of the release of Carole King's iconic album Tapestry, the Borough of Westwood and Bergen County Players (BCP) are inviting residents of Westwood and nearby towns to take part in the "Carole King Wannabe Karaoke Night in the Park" on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
Classic American Tales presents "Tales at the Dormer House". (CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 12 through October 16, 2025, Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents "Tales at the Dormer House" in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories by American authors. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting. Otherwise, they will be inside. Cost is only $12.00, cash at the door, and guests at The Dormer House and children ages 12 and under are free.
"Heathers, the Musical" returns to NYC this summer. (NEW YORK, NY) -- Producers Bill Kenwright LTD., Paul Taylor-Mills and Jerry Goehring are pleased to announce that after smash hit runs in London and on tour throughout the UK, a new production of Heathers the Musical will make its eagerly awaited return to New York City in June.
Surflight Theatre presents "Buddy, the Buddy Holly Story!". (BEACH HAVEN, NJ) -- Surflight Theatre brings back the Broadway hit musical Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story! from August 19 to September 7, 2025. (NEW YORK, NY) -- Set in New York City on the brink of a new millennium, the New York Premiere of The Boy From Kingsbridge captures the grit and energy of 1999. Written by Steven Sarao, the two-hander stars James Lorinz and Sarao as childhood friends who grow up to become NYPD officers. Directed by Anna Rebek, the play runs for seven performances from August 27 through September 5, 2025 as part of the Dream Up Festival at Theater for the New City.
Ruth Stage presents "The Zoo Story" by Edward Albee.
